How do we gain the holy spirit?

Yep! Its also in John 10:9 too! so if you new why was you asking me? The holy spirit is what will guide and teach you
and you cant have the Holy Spirit without Jesus!

Read Acts 10, listen to Peter at the end of the chapter, and you will see that if you receive the Holy Spirit you should also be baptised in water.

I have read it and have yet to find any that say inviting Jesus into our hearts is the way to go.
Have you found any scriptures that teach this new way or is it just of man?
