Are you saying that everybody who receives these “visions” was lying or dreaming it? I don't think that's possible.
July 31, 2007 at 8:19 pm#62615acertainchapParticipantQuote (TimothyVI @ Aug. 01 2007,08:16) Some people feel better believing in torture and hell. It gives them comfort thinking that other people will go there and not them.
I feel better believing in the grace of God.Tim
Are you kidding me? You think that I took pleasure from believing this?July 31, 2007 at 8:20 pm#62616acertainchapParticipantI can't believe this.
July 31, 2007 at 8:21 pm#62617acertainchapParticipantI don't believe that you just said that to me.
July 31, 2007 at 8:24 pm#62618acertainchapParticipantI'm just…confused, now.
July 31, 2007 at 8:30 pm#62620acertainchapParticipantDon't worry, I forgive you. I just can't understand how you would think that I would enjoy the thought of people being tormented forever.
July 31, 2007 at 8:47 pm#62623IM4TruthParticipantChap I did look at some of the tape. True or not I am not going there, because I am under Jesus Blood. But why are you so determine to believe in a Hell? Just pray and Love God with all of your Heart and your neighbor as thyself. This website is made up of so many different believes and we have to be careful how we react. We should not be judgemental in any way. If somebody wants to believe in the trinity or not for instant who am I to say, He or She should not. Let each one of us be convinced in our own mind. I have to prove to myself. Peace be with you Mrs.IM4Truth

July 31, 2007 at 9:44 pm#62628TimothyVIParticipantHi chap,
I am sorry that I said what I said the way that I did. Actually in my mind I was not even thinking about you when I said some people want to believe. You had already stated that you did not want to believe, but you did.
The fear that you feel that if you disbelieve in it you will go there, is exactly why I so despise that unscriptural doctrine.
I have read accounts of countless children that have become mentally unstable solely because of
the horrendous church teachings of torture in hell.Tim
I do not judge you chap. As I said before, I am sad for your fear.

Chap, what this man described is not biblical. It is from a fictional book, Dante's inferno.
I have no need to convince you otherwise. I will leave you to believe as you wish.

.even if I'm under the blood of Jesus.Do you believe the following scriptures:
Quote 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
3:17
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
3:18
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.Quote 10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10:10
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
10:11
For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
10:12
For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
10:13
For * * whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.Hell is a reality. The bible says that it is, but no one has to go there. If they do it is because they did not believe what our wonderful God has done for us through our Lord Jesus. A Christian will be judged according to his works for rewards, but his sins are forgiven. If you are a Christian, you have born-again and are striving to obey the commandments that came to us from God through our Lord Jesus. If you make a mistake and sin, come to God acknowledging that you have sinned and ask him to forgive you and the blood of Jesus will wash away your sin. If you do something wrong to someone, go to them and ask them to forgive you. If you are a Christian as I have described, you can rest assured you will never have to worry about hell. God loves you.
God Bless
July 31, 2007 at 11:50 pm#62641acertainchapParticipantThanks 942767. I do believe in John 3:16 – 3:18 . I have been saved through the grace of God and have had my sins forgiven by and through Jesus Christ who made it so. I know that hell is a reality but the simple fact of the matter is, real or not [it is real] I can live happily and eternally gratefully assured that I won't be going there, but most importantly that I will be going to Heaven.

Tim is right!
An everlasting burning hell is not scriptural. When someone has been told an untruth over & over again, they eventually believe it.
This particular untruth has been propagated for centuries by churches whose doctrine have Greek/Hellenistic & Platonic sources.
So it shouldn't be a surprise that people dream these things seeing that these doctrines have been sown in the minds of many people, every Sunday, at these churches.
(And the very fact that these people saw these visions is proof in itself that they were not dead at the time!)Centuries ago, people who adhered to these doctrines translated Greek words such as aion & aionios into eternal & everlasting to give the false impression that the wicked will burn continuously; this coupled with the equally erroneous doctrine of the immortality of an incorporeal soul; hence if a man is not saved and seeing that he is supposedly inherently immortal; he therefore must burn in an everlasting hell-fire since such a man cannot die!
Hence errors produce more errors
Erroneous doctrines produce more erroneous doctrines. However, scripturally
- Mankind is not inherently immortal
- Man is a soul as opposed to possessing a soul
- The wicked shall perish, be destroyed, be totally annihilated in Gehenna-fire
- Both death and Hades/Sheol/[The Grave] shall be destroyed in the lake of fire
- Jesus said … (Luke 12:5) But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell [GEHENNA]; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.
