    Nick,

    Hi KW,

Jesus made it plain that he was walking and working in the Spirit from the Jordan.

The Father spoke through him [Jn 2.19]as did the Spirit of the Son.[gal 4.6]

It is made plain in Scripture that Jesus has continually live by the Spirit and not by the flesh as he did not sin though tempted as the rest of us, Hebrews 4:15.

    Hi KW,

He had no advantage over those who lived under the Law.

Only after the Jordan does it say he was led by the Spirit.

    Hi KW,

    God is fair,

Through Jesus he proved the law was able to keep men from sinning.

    Nick,

    Hi KW,

He had no advantage over those who lived under the Law.

Only after the Jordan does it say he was led by the Spirit.

You keep claiming that but all it convinces me of is that you do not comprehend that a being cannot bear the fruits of the Spirit unless they and even then I am assuming you believe Jesus bore the fruits before he was baptized in the Jordan.

    Hi KW,

The fruits are specified in gal 5.

Knowledge is not one of them

    Nick,

You know the saying you will know them by their fruits.

Galatians 5:19-23Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Which fruits did Jesus bear before he was baptized by John?

    Hi KW,

    My question to you.

Tell us of the spiritual  fruits he showed.

    Nick,

I answered that before you even asked the question but you did not understand the answer or you would not have the question. My response was to ask a question that clarified my previous answer as i already pointed out that Scripture did not sin, which is the fruit of the flesh, and now you should know the fruit of the Spirit is righteousness.

    Hi KW,

    No answer then?

Since you can show no evidence should you make such claims?

    Nick,

Just because you cannot understand an answer does not mean it is not an answer.

    Nick,

    Hi KW,

The fruits are specified in gal 5.

Knowledge is not one of them

I missed this post which tells me I wasted my time posting Galatians 5 as you were already aware of it.

Jesus manifest all the fruits as he did not sin even though he was tempted to do so.

We have the story of when he went to the temple during his twelfth year after birth and in it he revealed a gift of knowledge but I consider that a gift of the Spirit and not its fruit. Even then he would grow in wisdom after that.

John knew Jesus bore the fruits of the Spirit, which is why he said “I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?”, Matthew 3:13-15. John himself lacked the Spirit because Jesus had not baptized him and John being the man he was wanted the Spirit to live by. Jesus just let him know that all things had not been accomplished for God to give him him the authority to to so and being baptized by John was one of the things that needed to be done to complete God’s righteous plan.

    Hi KW,

So gal 5 is not true and the spiritual fruits are to not sin despite temptation?

    I would rather believe scripture

    Hi KW,

    John knew what?

    Show this.

John certainly was on the Spirit as all prophets are as shown in 1 Peter 1.

Because he was of the Spirit he knew by the Spirit the plan for Jesus.

    Hi KW,

Jesus was born of a woman, born under the Law. Gal 4

He showed that the law, fully obeyed, could keep men free from sin.

    Hi KW,

You are making these statements because of your preformed views about Jesus.

You have no right to say them as you have no evidence, only personal opinion and false inference

    Hi KW,

What does righteousness mean to you?

Is it a LACK OF SIN?

Should our view be like that of the rich young man who pointed to his works as proof of righteousness?

It is not a negative but a positive.

    Nick,

What does righteousness mean to you?

Is it a LACK OF SIN?

That is what true righteousness is.

It is also the presence of righteous actions.

Both statements mean the same thing.
