Guarding against false teachings

The thing is

I have recently come back to the Lord

Recently been born again

I am growing in the Lord

Although their are far too many false teachings!!

Some are so obviously lies

Others have Truth mixed with lies

I think to mix so much lies that one would just dismiss the whole thing

Even the truth that they try to mix with lies

In truth I really do not want to leave my house

For before I recently came back to God I was deceived into believing he does not exist

My life took a……dangerous path during, my walk through the valley, Psalm 23 verse 4

Deceptions are not often out in the open, though are often very discreet.

The thing is being deceived is very dangerous for often we are led away from the truth,

God also warns us about the darkness that masks itself as Light

The Bible tells us that in the end times that there would be many deceivers

I believe that the MOST DIRECT WAY God speaks to us is through the Bible

satan knows the Bible, and is a master deceiver

many satanists, cultists etc… go out to deceive Christians and are trained to confuse, deceive us

I read the word and do not want to be lead to false doctrines, teachers,

Those who question the validity of the Bible X, those who ignore the signs of the times X, those who believe that the Bible prophecies have happened before their time X, and so on

All prayers in Jesus name please

But the questions I ask to all reading this

How does one guard against false teachings?

How does one discern between truth and lie?

For they are many deceivers, and they exceed at deceiving people

That all depends what you call the truth. You say you don't want an argument. Do you calling debating an argument?
When I see someone having and keeping a false doctrine, I make that person aware of it. After all that is what this Forum is all about. You can guard yourself against false teaching to go by Scripture and not what men teach. To believe men has gotten many into the false doctrine. Also those that believe in a false doctrine are not always lieing. They are deceived, there is a difference, IMO

Check all that you hear from anyone who is teaching what is supposed to be the Word of God against the Word of God by reading the bible, and stay in prayer asking Him to keep you from the evil one. If you need understanding in the Word of God, ask God what He meant by what is written in the Word of God for any scriptures in question.
