The prophets too should have been honoured by were murdered.[heb11]
Nick,
Where do the Scriptures say that all judgment had been committed to one of the prophets before Christ? And where do you find a atatement that a prophet before Christ was to be honored EVEN AS the Father is honored? These are fair questions.thinker
Hi TT,
So now you change tack and want to change the meaning of a word according to retrospect?First tell us if the prophets should have been HONOURED and why they met the same fate as the son of God. The parable of the vineyard compares all these servants who were sent and their fates.
Nick,
The Father committed ALL judgment to the Son for a specific reason. That ALL men should honor the Son EVEN AS they honor the Father. Let the record show that you evaded this point.thinker

Paul finished naming several categories of Christians, then observed Christ is all, as in “all of the above,” He is not just a Jew, nor just a scythian, etc, but is all of these, AND he is IN all of them.Paul also speaks of God, after receiving the kingdom from Jesus after the last enemy, death, is destroyed, and says
1 Cor 15:28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.It is NOT the same thing. God is all in all, Jesus is all (of the above,) and in all (of the above).
You are equating apples and oranges and getting fruit salad and calling it “God.”.
The Scripture does not say that the Father is all in all now. God becomes all in all when Christ hands over the kingdom. Not before then. If a man hands over the family business to his son then that son is all in all as far as all employees are concerned. The Father would not be all in all again until that son hands the family business back to him.thinker

The fate of men does depend on how they relate to the messenger bringing the Words of God.How they react to him shows what they feel about the One Who sent Him.
So Jesus never spoke of any trinity but carnal men do.
Do you prefer the words of carnal men to his?
What does that say about you?

That's what I keep telling you but you think its okay to reject God's messenger, It would not be evil for you to say I will stay with what I have now, what is evil is saying that you know for sure that something is false because you have not understood or followed the teachings.I will tell everyone here for a fact and let God be a witness between me and you. Hi MartyI second that. It is a lie and denys the foundation of the Christian faith.
Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: Acts 2:23
Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, [even] by him doth this man stand here before you whole. Acts 4:10
For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. 1 Cor 2:2
For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living. Rom 14:9
And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died? 1 Cor 8:11
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. “For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures“: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: 1 Cor 15:1-5
“And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins“. 1 Cor 15:17
This is only a few of the scriptures. Not to mention all the witnesses that saw him including the Angels that were at his tomb that witnessed to his ressurection

According to the scriptures is the best way to say it.
According to the scriptures Christ was not buried.
According to the scriptures Christ was hung from a tree
According to the scriptures Christ was nailed to a cross
According to the scriptures ALL the disciples forsook him and fled (therefore no witnessess)
Matthew 27 (King James Version)
32And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross.
33And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull,
John 19:16-18 (King James Version)
16Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away.
17And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha:
Did he carry his own cross or did someone else carry it? Where is the certainty?
Make no mistake I know you feel these things occured but the Quran says the fact of the matter
(1) That they said (in boast), “We killed christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah.;- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:-

Ever since I saw you give authority to the Quran I've pretty much passed over most of your posts. Now that I know this bit about you and your view of Jesus I will probably pass over your posts all the more.
There are some people on this forum who have little common ground when it comes to agreeing on the scriptures, I guess we have you to thank for reminding us of what we do have in common.
Thanks for reminding us that Christians at least share ONE extreme significant belief, and that is, that Jesus DID DIE, AND HE DID RISE FROM THE DEAD, AND HE HAS PAID FOR OUR SINS!
You have every right BD to share your belief and follow what you know to be true, however you should remember you're on a Christian forum that is about debating the bible. But you do not accept the words of Jesus about Satan and his dominion preferring to try to work from the OT so how does that differ from BD's problem?
It seems you are equally wrong.July 14, 2009 at 6:53 pm#159051NickHassanParticipantQuote (WorshippingJesus @ July 14 2009,18:11) Quote (bodhitharta @ July 14 2009,02:06) Quote (WorshippingJesus @ July 14 2009,17:14) Quote (942767 @ July 13 2009,21:20) Quote (bodhitharta @ July 14 2009,11:19) Quote (Nick Hassan @ July 14 2009,08:46) Hi BD,
The fate of men does depend on how they relate to the messenger bringing the Words of God.How they react to him shows what they feel about the One Who sent Him.
God did not tell you that the Quran was false.
Who here will tell me that the Holy Spirit has told them that the Quran is not the word of God? Let them put this testimony in writing so on the last day they cannot deny their lie against The Holy Spirit. So speak!
Hi BD:I can tell you that the Holy Spirit has shown me that the teaching in Quran that states that Jesus was not crucified, and did not die but was taken up into heaven without these things happening to him is not true.
Love in Christ,
Marty
BD, let it be a witness to you that according to the scriptures, Jesus was crucified, buried, and rose again from the dead, and if you do not believe this, then according to the scriptures you are yet in your sins!

WJ,Was Christ buried?
(1) That they said (in boast), “We killed christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah.;- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:-
( سورة النساء , An-Nisa, Chapter #4, Verse #157)
Hi BDThank you for verifying what we have been saying!
You are calling Paul a liar! And you are not telling the truth yourself for John and Mary the mother of Jesus was at the cross and saw him give up the ghost!
The qoran is a lie and has nothing to do with Biblical Christianity!

Hi WJ,
You put words in the mouth of God like trinity and yet think you can judge those who honestly offer their additions? Is that any sort of a position of strength?
