Quote (942767 @ July 17 2009,13:59) Quote (bodhitharta @ July 17 2009,13:48) Quote (942767 @ July 17 2009,12:21) Quote (bodhitharta @ July 15 2009,15:51) Quote (942767 @ July 15 2009,14:28) Quote (bodhitharta @ July 14 2009,20:11) Luke 4 10 For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee:
11 And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
Matthew 4
6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. Now the devil was quoting Psam 91 regarding the protection of Jesus.
Now lets look carefully at Psalm 91
1He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
9Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
10There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
14Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
16With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
Psalm 116
1I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications.2Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.
3The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow.
4Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.
5Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.
6The LORD preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.
7Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee.
8For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.
Psalm 118
15The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.16The right hand of the LORD is exalted: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.
17I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.
18The LORD hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death.
Hebrews 5:7 (King James Version)
7Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;
Hi BD:He saved him from eternal death or eternal separation from God. He raised him from the dead, and death has no more dominion over him. He has been given eternal life.
This from Romans:
Quote 9knowing that Christ, having been (Q)raised from the dead, is never to die again; ®death no longer is master over Him.
10For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.Love in Christ,
Marty
So are you saying this is false:From Luke 4, Matthew 4 and Psalm 91 which are 3 witnesses
11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
This is solid scriptural proof Luke and Matthew solidify that this scripture was pertaining to Jesus Christ and Psalm 91 is the proof text that shows it to be a prophecy of the future if Jesus was harmed this scripture is a lie but it is not it is the truth Jesus was not killed or crucified.
Someone was crucified and it was a son of man but it was not Jesus Christ.
Hi BD:He was tempted in every way yet without sin, and so, God delivered him from the evil one. Men have the power to kill the body, but they can not kill the soul, and men will threaten to do this or that to you if you don't do what they say, but Jesus endured all of their insults and everything they could possibly do to him.
God raised Jesus from the dead, and so, guess who won.
Jesus was crucified but he is alive forever more.
Love in Christ,
Marty
You do not win being crucified, you win by God saving you from crucifixion. You don't defeat death by dying and coming back to life if that is the case than Lazarus preceded Jesus.God is great! He said referring to Jesus that the angels would protect him from any harm but you seem to not want to believe that. It is certainly a higher teaching, it is meat.
Hi BD:He won and we win by obeying God even unto death in spite of what any man can do to us.
Quote Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Rev 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ:
for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Love in Christ,
Marty

YesJuly 26, 2009 at 1:43 am#138905bodhithartaParticipantJeremiah 32 (King James Version)
35 And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.
God calls the sacrifice of any child an abomination and yet you believe he sacrificed His own son even though God says it nevver came to His Mind.

You do not understand the ways of God at all do you?
Now you dare judge Him by His law?
God is subject to none.July 26, 2009 at 4:20 am#138917bodhithartaParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ July 26 2009,15:36) hi BD,

So when God said “it never even came to His Mind”It means it did come to His mind?
Where is the scripture that says I will sacrifice my son?

You have no love of our scriptures nor of the God Who wrote them through men.
Your only work is to confuse the flock of God.Unwise to try and correct God as you have also attempted with his Son.

Wolves are fond of sheep.July 27, 2009 at 3:12 am#139012bodhithartaParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ July 27 2009,14:45) Hi BD,
Wolves are fond of sheep.
Wolves in sheep clothing try to be sheep pretending to believe the same thing having only minor differences such as thinker pretending to be a Christian knowing he is anti-christ and multi-God.I am saying things that alert the sheep and frighten them so those who listen are not listening because of me but because they can hear the truth of God over the noise.
If they are not the sheep of Jesus they will not listen, they will be like cattle no matter how hard you try they won't listen but if some find their self listening then they can “hear” the truth of God.
