Hi shania,
So reason outside of divine guidance is likely to lead to Satan's dominion.March 28, 2008 at 4:47 pm#85110ShaniaParticipantAbsolutely.. I am not saying that we should not use our brains. I am saying that every choice that we make needs to be based on our Father's will. Will we make the right choice every time? No. We learn from our mistakes and repent- this takes humility. What I was saying before was that we cannot reason our decisions based on our own selfishness. We do not own our lives and if we knowingly disobey out of pure rebellion because we think we know better or we just don't wanna submit, we are led to destruction.

Adam chose another god.
That god was condemned to death.
He inherits now what his new father inherits.May 6, 2012 at 9:18 am#296706NickHassanParticipantHi,
The tree of the knowledge of good and evil which Eve could see would make one wiser[gen 3.5] was chosen by her over the tree of life. Adam meekly followed.
God perceived they had done so because they knew they were naked.[gen 3.10] as their consciences immediately became active.
Satan was correct in saying they would become like God in this way[gen3.5] and God agreed.[gen3.22]
Now they had no excuse for misbehaviour and it has burdened all men ever since.
Helpless against the temptation of indwelling sin he needed a saviour
And men still seek understanding rather than eternal life.May 6, 2012 at 10:41 pm#296788kerwinParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ May 06 2012,15:18) Hi,

Nick,It is foolish to seek understanding by the point of view of the flesh.
It is wise to seek understanding by the point of view of the Spirit of God.

Reading Acts should convince even carnal men that the power of the Spirit of God is an essential to be sought. - AuthorPosts
