Hi Stu,
Acceptance of ideas has never given lasting benefits to anyone.
How sad to know truth and not obey it.March 18, 2008 at 6:53 pm#84215StuParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ Mar. 19 2008,06:32) Hi Stu,

Didn't I write 'ask them'? They know what the truth is for them as much as you know what it is for you. My truth is different again, and the major difference is that I don't make claims that cannot be substantiated with evidence.Stuart

You and Pontius Pilate would get on well.
To believe in nothing is freedom of a certain type.
But it does not offer the hope that knowledge of God doesMarch 19, 2008 at 8:09 am#84277StuParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ Mar. 19 2008,07:24) Hi Stu,

Hi NickPontius Pilate by his actions brought you the opportunity of salvation. I suppose you are complimenting me by your comparison. I do not believe in putting people to death though.
I don't know anyone who believes in nothing.
The knowledge of god would seem to require the hope that you would not be haphazardly smote on a day when he had not had enough sleep, or whatever it is that sets him off. Not sure if that is the kind of hope I would hope for.

While I agree with you that the concept of trinity is flawed, do you think those believing such, all other things being the same, will not be saved?March 19, 2008 at 6:04 pm#84297NickHassanParticipantHi cato,
Trinity belief is not of the Way of Jesus to the Rest of God as it is not biblical teaching.
We are strongly urged to enter the Rest of God and not just hope for mercy.
False teaching and deception is the way of the entrapping whore.
God reserves special punishment for her many minions.
Because she has insulted Him for too long. But some of His people are yet in her or scripture would not say

Sorry that is meaningless to me. I get off this bus at the terminus, I don't expect an endless taxi ride afterwards, prepaid with misery in advance.Stuart

You will be met at the terminus and escorted to a waiting place.
You just drop off your clothes there.March 19, 2008 at 7:00 pm#84311StuParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ Mar. 20 2008,06:54) Hi Stu,

If you substitue cattle train for bus, tell me how what you posted is any different from the experience of those arriving at Auchwitz. Then tell me you worship a loving god.

“You just drop off your clothes there” sends chills down my spine. Have you not seen the display cases full of suitcases and clothes and shoes and the other belongings of the concentration camp victims who were stripped before being sent off to a gas chamber? They were told exactly that.Tell me you worship a loving god, one who happily allowed that.

Not loving then. Why do you worship it? Are you truly a slave? How can your slavedriver offer you freedom, unless it is freedom from him?Stuart

There is guidance counselling, you know. You don't have to live in self-piteous self-loathing, reciting the script of a bad vampire movie.Stuart
