We must question the story logic of having an all-knowing all-powerful God, who creates faulty Humans, and then blames them for his own mistakes
– Gene RoddenberryGene had it wrong. God doesn’t punish people for mistakes, he punishes sin.
Sin is really just living the way that God intended us not to. It is the opposite way to God’s will.
And why is an opposite way even possible?
Because there has to be a choice for every person as to whether they love God or not. Love requires choice.
If you love God you will live his way.
If you don’t love him, you will live in sin.And the outcome is what is expected.
A sinner doesn’t get eternal life with a God that he hates.
And the righteous live for all eternity with God who is love. That is fair. Or would people prefer that God forces all men to live with him forever even though they don’t like him very much?
