So God did not really crush satan under the feet of Christians in Paul's time? It seems as if you view satan as some sort of cartoon character that keeps getting crushed and in the next scene is whole again as if nothing happened. Remember the Roadrunner and the Coyote cartoons? The Coyote's booby trap would backfire and the anvil would fall and crush him instead of the Roadrunner. In the next scene the Coyote is back at his mischief just as whole as he was before the anvil crushed him.

Is this how you view God's having “crushed” satan under THEIR feet?

Paul assured the saints of his time that God would crush satan under THEIR feet SHORTLY (Rom. 16:20). The Greek word for “crushed” means “broken in pieces.” When something is “crushed” it is finished, done and totally inoperable! Satan does not operate in the world today unless he is some kind of cartoon character. But satan is a real person and not a cartoon character. Therefore, he ceased to be operable after God “crushed” him.

Futurism goes contrary to common sense!

    Hi KJ,
    Yep.
    Every day his dominion decreased.
Did you think it meant it was a ONE OFF event when ALL the saints would crush SATAN HIMSELF?
    Wake up.

Your human preterism cannot find any support among even your friends here

    Nick,

The satan of your thinking is a make believe cartoon character who gets “crushed” every day and walks away from it (the coyote). When a real person is “crushed” he ends up in a wheel chair or dead. Either way he is immobile.

You deny inference. But what about common sense?

    Hi KJ,
You really need more than one verse to prove anything.[2Cor13]
If Satan in this verse is a being how many would be involved in his crushing?
How would commonsense say that this could be done when the servants of Jesus were already scattered around the world?

I don't follow your question about how many would be involved in satan's crushing. Paul said that “GOD” would crush satan under THEIR feet “SHORTLY.”

And I have given other verses before. Jesus said, “NOW is the judgment of this world. NOW is the prince of this world cast out.” Satan was cast out of the world “NOW” (Now to Jesus and not to us).

Okay, Jesus said that satan would be cast out of the world “NOW.” And Paul said that God would crush satan under THEIR feet “SHORTLY.”

    Hi KJ,
Tell us about the crushing then.
When and how DID IT occur?

I wasn't there. You'll have to ask those who were there.

    Hi KJ,
So you have no base for your claims.

Since you offer preterism as COMMONSENSE do you not think someone somewhere might agree with you?

you just make small talk to be doing something ,

first satan is not cast out of the world like you say but on the earth,

( NOW is the prince of this world cast out.” Satan was cast out of the world “NOW” (Now to Jesus and not to us).

    Pierre,

Jesus said “NOW is the prince of htis world cast out.” I take it for what it says. Now means Now! Satan is not operating in the world today.

    Hi KJ,
You really need wisdom more than knowledge as you depend on intellect not Spirit.

Now means now is not intellect but is common sense.

    Nick,

You misapply Peter's words. He also said that a thousands years is as one day. So by your logic there is no conclusive evidence for a millennium because a thousand years is as one day. Paul told the saints at Rome that satan would be crushed under THEIR feet SHORTLY (Rom. 16). Jesus said, “NOW is the prince of this world cast out” (John 12).

He told His disciples that some of them would remain alive to see His coming (Mt. 16).

Are you saying that the “millennium” is a literal 24 hours?
