The Forum has been upgraded so that the posts are now in a mySQL database. The reason is quite simple, mySQL is open source software and is a standard database for web servers. This means that the posts can be inputted into any program that supports mySQL and also into future editions of Ikonboard or whatever board software is the best, as the best will support mySQL.
However 2 problems occurred when this Forum was upgraded.
1) The word Hell in all the posts were converted to #### because of the Bad Word Filter being setup that way by default. I should have changed it before converting the data, so my fault. I have since rectified this, so new posts will not have this problem. But the old posts still contain ####, so I ask you to update your own posts that contain #### to the word hell, so that they make sense. This hasn’t effected many members or posts however.
2) The PM (Private Messages) didn’t migrate over. I still have the old outdated database and can retrieve the PMs on request. Just send a PM to t8 and I will email them to you on request.
