Does Jesus have power OVER YOU? If so, according to what you wrote, then He is your god. Why not just admit it. Or would you say that Jesus does not have power over you. Do you have power over Jesus???
Does the Father have authority and power over his son Jesus Christ. Why not just admit it. The Father is the one true God. He has power and authority over all including his own son. Does Jesus have power over the Father?

No, t8, Jesus does not have power “over” the Father, Jesus IS the Power OF the Father…and it is through that power (Jesus) that the Father created the world and saves those men who have made that ‘power’ (Jesus) the Lord of their lives.

the only reason you come up with this question of yours ;is because you have a apostate mind ,
many have been my lord and over time I myself became lord for i had many workers working for me ,but as my faith teaches me I HAVE ONLY ONE GOD THE FATHER FOR HIS SON AS MADE ME KNOW THIS SO THAT WE CAN SHARE THE SAME GOD AND FATHER ,

LU…….If you say JESUS IS YOUR GOD, and then you must worship and obey him, so why do you not believe what he said then?, [ “FOR THOU ARE THE “ONLY” TRUE GOD”], THE WORD “ONLY”means “NO” OTHERS, and the word “TRUE” CONNECTED WITH “ONLY”, means all other so-called God’s are “FALSE” or “UNTRUE” GOD’S, that is to US TRUE BELIEVERS and Jesus OUR brother, a man anointed by God (adonia) to be our lord (adoni or human judge and ruler) Jesus is not the “TRUE” LORD (adonia who is the “only” True God).
Go check out the words ADONIA, “LORD”, AND the word ADONI, “lord”, they have complete different meanings. You can not produce one scripture where Jesus ever said he was a GOD of any kind, BIG GOD, OR little god. All who preach that other God’s big or little exist are commiting “IDOLATRY” AND WILL BE JUDGED AS SUCH. IMO

I worship the one true Jehovah God who is both God of gods and Lord of lords. Jesus is identified as the Lord of lords. It is only right that I should worship Him too. You do not understand the manner in which Jesus is Lord of lords.Does Jesus have power over you, Gene? Please answer this question.

Christ is the power and wisdom of God, brother Paul said likewise. Also those who put their faith in Christ shall be saved, I also agree. The difference is you have put your faith in the teachings of men who say the Christ is also God, equal with the Father, yet different without proof. Christ is God in that he shows us God and it is through the Son that we may see God, not that he is God exactly, only that he shows us God like a reflection in the mirror.
The psalmist says that “power belongs to God”. Solomon in all his wisdom said wisdom was formed. Christ is the wisdom and power of God: a power that belongs to one greater (God our Father) and wisdom that was formed and created. Both show an authority over Christ. Combine this with all that Christ said, “the Father is greater than I”, “I do not speak on my own authority”, “neither is he that is sent greater than he that sent him.”, “I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.” and you easily see who God is.
Trinitarians tell Christ what he meant instead of listening to what he actually said.

Jesus is God the Son, not God the Father. He is exactly like the Father in attributes and has been given creation, which He created, btw, to be Lord to. Even God the Father calls Him “God” and identifies Him as Jehovah. Peter also identifies Him as Jehovah of hosts. Jehovah is God of gods and Lord of lords. Jesus is identified as Lord of lords in Rev. Jesus is prayed to and answers prayers.If it looks like a duck…

Actually, God the Son, is a term that helps a person distinguish who is being spoken about between God the Father and His Son. It is quite helpful and it’s ok to say, btw. It is no longer a mystery.Terraricca,

Yes He does but dont gloss over the fact that a couple lines further He qualified his remark saying “Therefore God, THY God…” showing the reader that the exalted Son still had God as his God. So how can that be? Christ has been given all authority and has been given “the name above every name” that being the image of God he would have the same name. Just as a viceroy is king to everyone but the true king, Christ has the name of God and is God in that we see the true God through him, yet is himself not the true God.
As for Peter his confession was “you are the Son of God”. If what you are using to show brother Peter stating Christ is Yehowah is 2 Peter 1:1, then you do so foolishly. The standard bible rightly translates this passage with a “the” separating God and saviour responding to the next verse that also separates God and Christ and his first epistle which says “blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
We are to worship Christ… but as the Son and our king. Dont you know Christ said to the church of philidelphia “i will make them to come and worship before thy feet”? Obviously there are varying degrees of worship.
I agree if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, its a duck. So when christ says in rev. 3:12 while in heaven “I will make him a pillar in the temple of MY God” and “i will write upon him the names of MY God” and “I go to my Father and your Father, MY God and your God” we can see Christ’s God is our God who is the Father. The duck is quacking but you arent listening to it for yourself, you re just mimicking your teachers hoping they got the sound right and copying it.

That would be idolatry and we know God does not say his human kind is a little lower than idols. Instead he is saying that humankind is a little lower than the angels. He uses the word god to mean angels. He is not calling angels false gods.
I could say Jimmy Hendrix is a guitar god and all it means is that he is a superior player.
Kerwin, I believe there is only one God and it’s as simple as that. Any others are “so called gods” and have little meaning in the mind of a true christian other than they are powerful in the minds of men. Angels are Heavenly beings… simple as that imo.
