I can see from the poll that all who voted believe the woman is a religion or religious organisatiion.

    Babylon stands for what

Da 4:10 These are the visions I saw while lying in my bed: I looked, and there before me stood a tree in the middle of the land. Its height was enormous.
Da 4:11 The tree grew large and strong and its top touched the sky; it was visible to the ends of the earth.
Da 4:12 Its leaves were beautiful, its fruit abundant, and on it was food for all. Under it the beasts of the field found shelter, and the birds of the air lived in its branches; from it every creature was fed.
Da 4:13 “In the visions I saw while lying in my bed, I looked, and there before me was a messenger, a holy one, coming down from heaven.
Da 4:14 He called in a loud voice: ‘Cut down the tree and trim off its branches; strip off its leaves and scatter its fruit. Let the animals flee from under it and the birds from its branches.
Da 4:15 But let the stump and its roots, bound with iron and bronze, remain in the ground, in the grass of the field.
“ ‘Let him be drenched with the dew of heaven, and let him live with the animals among the plants of the earth.
Da 4:16 Let his mind be changed from that of a man and let him be given the mind of an animal, till seven times pass by for him.
Da 4:17 “ ‘The decision is announced by messengers, the holy ones declare the verdict, so that the living may know that the Most High is sovereign over the kingdoms of men and gives them to anyone he wishes and sets over them the lowliest of men.’
Da 4:18 “This is the dream that I, King Nebuchadnezzar, had. Now, Belteshazzar, tell me what it means, for none of the wise men in my kingdom can interpret it for me. But you can, because the spirit of the holy gods is in you.”

    Daniel Interprets the Dream

Da 4:19 Then Daniel (also called Belteshazzar) was greatly perplexed for a time, and his thoughts terrified him. So the king said, “Belteshazzar, do not let the dream or its meaning alarm you.”
Belteshazzar answered, “My lord, if only the dream applied to your enemies and its meaning to your adversaries!
Da 4:20 The tree you saw, which grew large and strong, with its top touching the sky, visible to the whole earth,
Da 4:21 with beautiful leaves and abundant fruit, providing food for all, giving shelter to the beasts of the field, and having nesting places in its branches for the birds of the air—
Da 4:22 you, O king, are that tree! You have become great and strong; your greatness has grown until it reaches the sky, and your dominion extends to distant parts of the earth.
Da 4:23 “You, O king, saw a messenger, a holy one, coming down from heaven and saying, ‘Cut down the tree and destroy it, but leave the stump, bound with iron and bronze, in the grass of the field, while its roots remain in the ground. Let him be drenched with the dew of heaven; let him live like the wild animals, until seven times pass by for him.’
Da 4:24 “This is the interpretation, O king, and this is the decree the Most High has issued against my lord the king:
Da 4:25 You will be driven away from people and will live with the wild animals; you will eat grass like cattle and be drenched with the dew of heaven. Seven times will pass by for you until you acknowledge that the Most High is sovereign over the kingdoms of men and gives them to anyone he wishes.
Da 4:26 The command to leave the stump of the tree with its roots means that your kingdom will be restored to you when you acknowledge that Heaven rules.

Ge 3:14 So the LORD God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this,
“Cursed are you above all the livestock
    and all the wild animals!
You will crawl on your belly
    and you will eat dust
all the days of your life.

Eze 28:11 The word of the LORD came to me:
Eze 28:12 “Son of man, take up a lament concerning the king of Tyre and say to him: ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says:
“ ‘You were the model of perfection,
full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.
Eze 28:13 You were in Eden,
    the garden of God;
    every precious stone adorned you:
    ruby, topaz and emerald,
    chrysolite, onyx and jasper,
    sapphire, turquoise and beryl.
    Your settings and mountings were made of gold;
on the day you were created they were prepared.
Eze 28:14 You were anointed as a guardian cherub,
    for so I ordained you.
    You were on the holy mount of God;
you walked among the fiery stones.
Eze 28:15 You were blameless in your ways
from the day you were created
till wickedness was found in you.
Eze 28:16 Through your widespread trade
    you were filled with violence,
    and you sinned.
So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God,
and I expelled you, O guardian cherub,

    KJV
Daniel 4:19   Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was astonished for one hour, and his thoughts troubled him.  The king spake and said, Belteshazzar, let not the dream trouble thee, Belteshazzar answered and said, My lord, the dream be to them that hate thee, and the interpretation thereof to thine enemies.

    After King Neb was given the interpretation of his dream, and this warning by Daniel;
Daniel 4:27   Wherefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable unto thee, and break off thy sins by righteousness, and thine iniquities by showing mercy to the poor; if it may be a lengthening of thy tranquility.

    but 12 months passed by
Daniel 4:29   At the end of the twelve months he walked in the palace of the kingdom of Babylon
Daniel 4:30   The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of my kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honor of my majesty?
Daniel 4:31   While the word was in the king's mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee.

King Neb, after being warned to stop sinning, and to show mercy to poor if he wanted his peace to last longer, did not change in the one year time frame.  Therefore those that hated him, would be the poor, and also those who were under his authority.  The king was ousted out of power, made homeless, and ate grass like a cow for seven years.  He was brought down very low, and instead of his intelligence, might and pride, was reduced to madness and survived like an animal as there was not a single soul who cared for him, or took him in.

Only after King Neb acknowledged at the end of the seven years that it is God who gives kingdoms, and takes them away, that he gave honour to God and repented.

His kingdom was restored to him, and all who were under him, the poor and all those serving him, would realise also that the power is all in God's hands, and not the hands of men, no matter how high they are.  And this is what Daniel declared, so a big lesson also to his enemies (those of his kingdom) that God is control of all things, and does it according to his purposes.

Daniel 4:34   And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honored him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation:

Daniel 4:35   And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he does according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?
Daniel 4:36   at the same time, my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, mine honor and brightness returned unto me; and my counselors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me.
Daniel 4:37   Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgement: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.

    Pierre

I have answered your question in DETAIL.

His enemies are THE POOR, and those of his KINGDOM. They are the ones that hated him (KING NEB)

Your version is corrupt. Read the KJV WORDING. You will understand better.

    Pierre,

The dream concerns those that hate thee, your enemies.  They are the ones that will thrust you out of your own kingdom.  Those of your own kingdom will do this to you.

King Neb was not thrust out by another kingdom, but by his own kingdom.  The kingdom of Babylon still continued for those seven years, but not with King Neb as their leader.  They kicked him out into the cold, with not even a bed to sleep on. I can't explain it any simpler. His enemies were of his own kingdom. Everyone included.

    Pierre,

Did you actually read the story?
King Neb had a dream.  Daniel told him what that dream meant.  It was a warning to him.
King Neb was that branch that was to be cut off,
and his kingdom was the stump with the roots that were to remain.
King Neb was counselled by Daniel to break off his sins by righteousness,
and his iniquities by showing mercy to the poor.
Obviously, he was not doing the right thing,
else he would not of been warned.

but a year passed by, and King Neb glorified himself, and said that his kingdom was built by his own power.
This means he has pride, and still does not acknowledge God's power,
so God brought him real low,
and he used King Neb's people to do it.

King Neb was made to live like a beast of the field for seven years.
He was eating grass like an ox.  (read the story)
His glory was stripped off him until he was made humble. Who do you think took his throne away?  Those of his own Kingdom of course.(God made it happen that way).

When King Neb realised that it is God that rules, and all is in God's power,
then he praised God, and humbled himself.
God then forgave him and gave him his kingdom back,
    and blessed him personally.

    This is the lesson.
God has the power to set up kings, and to tear them down. This dream concerned those of his own kingdom,
because he was not taken out of power by any other kingdom.
    His own obviously hated him,
    to do this to him,
therefore they were the ones who were his enemies.

    Quote

I explained to you like I would to a child.  Simple easy, with scripture.  There's no mystery here Pierre.

    Quote

Because God gave him back his AUTHORITY AS KING.
    God is behind everything.
    This is the whole message.
    God can change peoples hearts,
in this case, God turned the hearts against king Neb (those of his own kingdom),
so they could thrust him out of power. Then he put king Neb in a position where he had no choice but to admit that he was not all powerful,
    but realised God was,
but because of his pride, it took 7 years to realise this,
so his heart was changed through the hard way.
He was humbled when everything was stripped off him,
then God changed the people's hearts, so they put him back in power.
How else would he get back there?

    Quote
They kicked him out into the cold, with not even a bed to sleep on.

Again, read the story. How else would he be living like an animal eating grass?  He was kicked out of the palace.  No one gave him food.  The field was his bed with the beasts of the earth.  The grass was his food.  He was sent into madness.  All his dignity taken away.
No one cared for him for seven years.

    Do you understand now?
