    Seriously Mike.

It never crossed your mind that the boat was not over the horizon but was too small to see at that distance.

And remember, waves are pushing the boat up and down, so let’s assume it was just over the horizon, well when it hits a peak it could easily come back into view.

The evidence in this video is weak. Show a huge tanker and you have my attention.

And did you know that a boat at only 4 miles away would be hidden behind 5 feet of curvature?

What is the math / formula you are using again?

Do you see the cars going up the hill in the distance in the top center of the photo?

Yes. And you would probably see boats too if they were raised up like that on land.

If one of those cars was hypothetically the same distance but floating on water at the same level as the camera, then yeah, I doubt you would see it to be honest.

A Flat Earth myth debunked again

Are globe earthers sinking container ships to prove a point?

All around the globe, captains are instructed to immediately sink the ship if they detect a Nikon camera pointed at it from a distance.

All captains are shape shifting lizards and can read your mind and know when you are pointing a camera at them.

They really hate when you do that because ships aren’t cheap, but the conspiracy must be hidden at all cost.

Is this flat earth phenomenon an American culture thing, because seriously these people know nothing about science, planets, countries, animals, etc.

I wondered if you guys were smoking too much pot, but could it also be the lack of a real education?

Weak? Mike’s video is scientific. Please explain it using a scientific reason.

Mike, it would be neat to see the P1000 without the IR filter seeing the same object to see how much of the resolution is enhanced by the filter. That was extremely cool how you could even see the people on the boat! 🚣

It’s real simple. You are being deceived and this boat argument was debunked earlier in this thread.

Small boats go out of view and can have nothing to do with the earth being a globe. They become invisible because they are too small coupled with the hazy atmosphere just above water. And waves can hide them too.

A large tanker or an old style ship with those high sails will not do this because they are too big to vanish except when they go over the curve enough to start sinking at the bottom.

Wise up dig. Ask Mike to do a similar video with a large container ship or cruise ship. If he did that, he would see the ship disappear from the bottom only. So he probably won’t do that.

Thanks D4T!  Yes, side by side comparisons of IR versus VS are cool.  I’ve done plenty around Phoenix (zooming in on distant mountains, etc), but not of boats on the ocean.  I had both cameras at San Diego, and filmed boats with each of them, but didn’t do any side by side comparisons. 😬

T8: Small boats go out of view… because they are too small…

You didn’t understand the cars footage?  The point was that with today’s zoom cameras, you can physically see a car or boat from more than 15 miles away.  And in your model, that boat would be over 100 feet below the curve at 15 miles. Even at 3 miles away, there is 6 feet of drop due to earth curve.

Now I would guess, based on the zoomed in size of the boat in my video as compared to the size of the cars at 15 miles (the boat was a little bigger), the boat was 7-10 miles away from me.  And at even 5 miles, the entire boat would be well behind earth curve in your model. So at 7-10 miles (or even 5), you cannot make the claim that it is “on this side of the curve”.  Understand?

And although I’ve done it before, here’s yet another video of a BIG boat being zoomed back in from “hidden behind the horizon”.  It’s a short video, but you can just watch from the 3:00 mark (full zoom) to the 3:18 mark (no zoom) if you want.

To the naked eye, this BIG boat has sailed over the curve and disappeared from view.  But an 83x zoom shows the truth.

(Video in next post, as it seems the posts  go to spam when I include the YouTube.)

    Ed: Hi Mike,

Here’s another video for you brother…

Thanks Ed.  Makes you wonder WHY we would need them if we have 13,000 satellites in space that could do the same thing, right?  Logical thinking.   And I told you how they steer the balloon satellites that aren’t tethered to the earth, right?   Those also have a tether hanging down, and they can adjust the height of the balloon by changing the electromagnetic direction/pulse.  That way they can raise it up into a westbound jet stream, and then back down into an eastbound jet stream to guide it to where they want it to go or stay.  It’s the same way spiders can float for hundreds of miles using a strand of silk.  And remember how the flight of bumblebees was always said to be “impossible” due to their size compared to their wings?  They’re now saying that these bees use the electromagnetic nature of our world to fly.  And more and more SECULAR scientists are finally concluding that “gravity” is simply electromagnetism.

As an aside, have you heard of Qanon yet?  Do you follow him/them?

    1. What is the formula you are using these days to measure this curve?
    2. The cars look like they were in an elevated position.
    3. Water has more moisture and more interference when trying to view a vehicle.
    4. Waves are fluid and go up and down. Land doesn’t do that very often.

And you can photograph the whole planet from space.

Oh wait, that’s right, the lizard people are photo-shopping images because it has to be.

Okay so the point of this latest video is the boat should not be seen at all. Here are some things for you to consider:

    1. The bottom of the boat is not there.
    2. According to some evidence I came across recently and earlier in this discussion, the curve calculators are not accurate. Watch the video below. I have fast forwarded it to the relevant point.

    Quiz

I took a video from Paekakariki Hill yesterday. Usually you can see Kapiti Island as clear as day and even the South Island is clearly visible most days.

Does anyone want to take a guess why they vanished?

Not a Flat Earth question. Just a little quiz.
Here are some pics of what you usually see.

    South Island view

    Kapiti Island view

    Sweeping view missing both islands

Here’s an answer to your question t8.

you can skip to about 6.30 minute mark unless you are versed in higher math and have a scientific calculator handy

(bottom line it is extremely close to 8” per mile squared.)
