Would there be an initiation ceremony? How about levels to achieve?
Not at all. But if you are willing to donate 20% of your income, then you can join.November 26, 2012 at 12:04 am#321969ProclaimerParticipantQuote (david @ Nov. 26 2012,11:01) It sounds nice, now that you put it that way. [/quote]

Definitely, if we convert to the Binity.Would certainly be a requirement that a person believed in one God the Father as stated in scripture. Jesus as the son of that God, who was made Lord, and Messiah by that God. In other words the foundational stuff.
On top of that, a reasonable person would be important too. There could be members that had a true faith in the true God, but could also be a trouble maker or obstinate.
Anyway, might never happen. Might just open the other part of the site to such people to contribute ideas and writings in the form of blogs on the home page for example. Also thinking of allowing other user generated content where people could add pages too. That might negate the need for an oasis forum (so to speak).

David,
I would like your opinion…if someone repeatedly calls what I believe as the 'binity' even though they themselves confess that what I believe is not a binity according to their own definition, and also are told not to use that term as my belief many times, yet continue to use it repeatedly…should they be tiled for this? Do you think that is against HN rules as you understand them?Just wondering what you think about this…thanks!

Hi lightenup.I have no idea what binity is, amd havent been following that discussin, and now that an exclusive club is being created, we can't say bad things about swell people like T8, who it seems may be keeping the Binites out, whatever that is. You aren't a Binite, are you LU?

Hi T8,I guess Pierre is OK then, right?
“I have yet many things to say unto you,
but ye cannot bear them now.” (John 16:12)How about David, does he have enough 'truth' for you?
Quote (t8 @ Nov. 24 2012,20:27) Maybe people are just not aware of how much harsher judgement is if you are a teacher.
When one sets themself up as 'one who gets to determine' what “The Truth” is for others…
…how would you say God would look upon that, T8? Less than one teaching others or more?God bless

Now that I said that I am not a 'Binite' and don't believe in a binity, you probably, being a smart type of guy would not call what I believe as binity, right?
Just checking…

lU, I've never looked up the word. Frankly, I'm too busy with things far more bizarre right now. I just got back from work and have to read a bed time story about Elizabeth knapp, which I will probably first read while suspending disbelief, sort of like a ghost story. Fun. Thanks kerwin. Then, I have to figure out what actually probably happened. Then, I want to figure out why Ed believes he is in the bible. (I might have misunderstood that). With this binitarianismitis, that you have contracted, I would just take some aspirin.November 26, 2012 at 5:52 am#322063Ed JParticipantQuote (david @ Nov. 26 2012,15:31) “So why would you think it a strange thing for me also to be a character written in the bible

Hi David,Check periodically in the thread you pulled the quote from to find out.

Well, don't you worry yourself about what the binity means since I don't believe it. And I don't think an aspirin would work on something that doesn't exist but thanks for trying.Have fun with your bed time story and looking for Waldo in the Bible, I mean Edj.
November 26, 2012 at 7:05 am#322081ProclaimerParticipantWhat do else do you call a theory that says that God is 2 persons.
If Trinity means Triune God and if there are various trinities, then binity seems like an appropriate title too.
But if you want to change it to Kathism, then I can roll with that title too and that would certainly be more descriptive I think.
Or feel free to put forward a name for this teaching.
Got to call it something for identification purposes. Makes it easier to refer to it when talking about the theory.November 26, 2012 at 7:15 am#322087LightenupParticipantWell, t8, the 'YHWH Echad' is what I have been calling it and you know this so why do you pretend that you don't? A married couple is two persons but you don't call a married couple a binity. Why must a unity of two persons be called a binity when speaking of God? Do you attach a numeral to every unity? If not, then why do you all of the sudden do it here, with God? What do you call a unity with eight members…an octinity? Just keep it simple, it is not about numbers but about unity.
There is no need to use words to describe God that are not found in the Bible.
November 26, 2012 at 2:26 pm#322103GeneBalthropParticipantLighenup………The Church in scriptures is called ONE BODY, but consists of many members. God who is a Spiirt was in Jesus by way of his spirit and can be in anyone he choses to be in. Problem is people do not understand what a Spirit really is. IMO

November 26, 2012 at 6:03 pm#322108LightenupParticipantGene,
The only begotten Son, firstborn over all creation, through which creation came and who has the title 'the First and the Last' would have been eternally existent within the Father and begotten from the Father before all things in heaven and on earth came into being.Like the Jews of the first century understood, Jesus was saying God was His Father, thus making Himself equal with God. Like begets like.
If He was just a man, He would certainly be blaspheming with all He claimed to be and what was written about Him. imo.
Take care…

I don't know why Kathi doesn't like the term “Binatarian”. She keeps pushing me to watch a series of videos called “Binarianism in the OT”.

I have no authority to speak about whether or not Ed was foretold in scripture. I will, however, vouch for the fact that he is a character. - AuthorPosts
