Aren't sugar pills cheaper than doing this?

You know, the placebo effect is down to the individual, and the cynical side of me says, if it works – use it.

Unfortunately once you know about the placebo effect, it's a lot harder to knowingly take a sugar pill to help you with your pain…

Well, to each his own. I hope that you won't ever have cancer, but if you do, and the sugar pill is your best option go ahead and exercise your “free will”.

This god sugar pill is not the best option for these people. They are told to carry on with their real treatment, the medical one, but I bet the charletans who encourage them into faith healing will still take the credit on behalf of their Imaginary Friend.

Christianity: the worldview for the hard of thinking.

    C. Eugene Emery, Jr., a science writer for the Providence Journal, has looked closely at the work of Reverend Ralph DiOrio, a Roman Catholic priest whose healing services attract people by the thousands. In 1987 Emery attended one of DiOrio's services and recorded the names of nine people who had been blessed during the service and nine others who had been proclaimed cured. DiOrio's organization provided ten more cases that supposedly provided irrefutable proof of the priest's ability to cure. During a six-month investigation, Emery found no evidence that any of these 28 individuals had been helped

    Hi,

Elisha died of a terminal illness, perhaps because he had no healers among his friends.

They taunted Jesus saying “physician heal thyself”

    Miia quoted James 5.14

”Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him”

It seems that the body of Christ has powers that individuals may lack and God wants us to work together.

    Hi,

    Matt 18.19

Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by my Father Who is in heaven. For wherever two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there in their midst.

    Food for thought.
