Can any bible scholar here explain this simple mystery?
And the evening and the morning is the first day.
And the evening and the morning is the second day, etc.
BUT,evening and morning consist of the night??
6pm to 6am = night. not day.

Considering God did not light the Sun, Moon, or stars until the Forth Night and Day it is a mystery how they could have lighted the Earth previously. If that was true then it was pretty dark on Earth as well as the rest of the Universe.
Of course even after I point that out there are those who insist that the Sun lit the earth before God placed the two great lights in the sky. I just figure they his some irrational point where there mind has slipped a gear as it is something they cannot except and remain mentally stable. Satan works in mysterious ways to keep us in the dark.

2. My question to you. If God was the light on the first ,second, third day;
why is there night ,which is darkness? Can you please explain?

I think there is night in day in the heavens that is the realm of angels as well. I am not sure how it is done but without those things God made on the Forth Night and Day there was no source of light in the sky of earth.
In all honesty wake up still trying to figure out the question …..
You state time as we know it today……you lose me right there. Measurements in time in history have nothing to do with numbers….so coming out of the gate your question or point isn’t in line… ….so how can someone understand the question.
