Stuart
Is that close to 6,000 years?Tim
the creation of the earth is one thing ,the creation of man is another ,man is here no longer than 6000 years
The last common ancestor of all humans, traced through the maternal line only, lived about 200,000 years ago. We know this because mitochondrial DNA is not recombined sexually, it accumulates mutations at a steady rate, on average 1 every 3500 years, so the time back to Mitochondrial Eve can be calculated from the numbers of differences in the mitochondrial DNA of people alive today.Completely independently, radioisotope dating of human fossil remains from the Omo River in Ethiopia give ages of 195,000 years old.
So the scale mistake involved in claiming humans only go back 6000 years is like saying that the distance between New York and Los Angeles is a matter of 50 miles or so.
Stuart
stuall you say is pure speculation, even today we well know witch animal as the closes DNA to humans and it does not make him a human ,some people may think so ,but this would be still speculation,
the only prove that would come out of those speculation is that all creation as been created from things coming out of the earth, and so being connected through that and those elements only.
Reality doesn't particularly care what you think about it.Stuart
stuit should read WE not YOU , we means all or any of us humans

Speculation?

it start to make me thinking,if the universe is so big and that there are billions of solar systems out there ,this would mean that there would be a slimmer than slim chance that there would be live on our planet ,but wen I have seen all the kinds of fish there are and other shell kind by the thousandths and so are the birds, and the ground animals by thousandths this also make it slimmer than slim that it all pop up and so beautifully came to be harmoniously coordinated that all those animals do and eat what they have been train to eat for their kind,
but wen it came to see the invisible to the eye, this was amazing ,bacteria, viruses, plankton, and hundreds more names I can't remember but all needed to sustain live on the planet , this again would make it slimmer than slim the chance that it all ad come by pure chance,
So what would you estimate to be the probability of life on Earth today?Stuart
stulive for men on earth will never end,
now what kind of men would it be ;this is another question.
Hopefully not me.Stuart
stuso we both have our wish ,me for life, and you to die
You wish for something that is promised to you by people who cannot possibly know anything about it. Placing the condition of death on any reward is the promise of a charlatan.I wish to live, then die. That is almost certainly what happens anyway. The living part is astonishing enough for me, and the death part gives that life meaning.

That's quite true, but I've already acknowledged that for myself. But if we go back to what you claimed:

You call this speculation…actually I don't know what part you are calling speculation, you seem to be under some misconception that I think chimpanzees are humans…but there is no evidence whatever that life is created. Common ancestry is a fact as good as any, and it is evidence against the claims christians make for their god.

Stuart,The 'fool' comment is getting boring to say the least, this passage is comes from the Hebrew text Psalm 14:1, now taking into context of the use of the Hebrew text it also reads that dietary violations (Deuteronomy 14:3) are an abominations. So when one continues to use such text, then if this person has ate or eaten any shell fish or pork, they themselves are an abomination to the same God, however they will argue that this passage does not apply to them due to Jesus said it is not what goes into a man mouth that can defile it is what comes out, then they will add Kepha's vision which has absolutely nothing to do with it.
So if Jesus can strike out the dietary law with a phrase I am sure there is a phrase that would strike out the fool one. Let's use this one, seems appropriate
Jesus said, “whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire” (Matt. 5:22)Basically Stuart, this is what scripture says.

Yes indeed. There is one caveat regarding this, apparently some christians believe that the warning attributed to Jesus only applies to christians calling other christians fools. So according to them the Judeo-christian god, and Jesus, and presumably their Immaterial Friend all think it's fine for christians to call non-believers 'fool'.But name-calling would appear to be their best argument against skepticism!
Alongside Matthew 5:22 there is a bit of one of Saul of Tarsus's letters to the Philippians that I think throws the Jewish bible into the furnace:
Phil. 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
There is little that is true, honest, just, lovely virtuous or of good report in those old laws. Deuteronomy and Leviticus are pure, of course. Pure what, is up to your imagination!
