Consider 1 Chronicles 29:20 in the KJV. Do you suppose the congregation BOWED before both Jehovah and His SERVANT David, to pay homage?
Or does it make more sense to you that these Israelites WORSHIPED the SERVANT of God, David, who they knew was just a man?
Let's put it this way: If you believe the Lamb, who is a SERVANT of God, was truly “worshiped”, then you must also believe that David, the SERVANT of God, was truly “worshiped”.
And if the “worship” of the Lamb is because the Lamb is God Himself, then the “worship” of David must also be because David was God Himself.
See? They are both similar examples of people bowing before God and one of His SERVANTS. So if one of the examples means the SERVANT actually IS “God”, then so does the other one.
And to answer your question, I would ABSOLUTELY worship ONLY God, and NOT His servant, the Lamb. (His Lamb is the one who taught me this.)

God's word has been tried and proven true.

Jehovah called himself the first and last God. That means that only those that were either the only one or the complete of something would call themselves the first and the last. I cannot think of anyone that would apply to but only children and I am not sure of any instances of that but Isaac who was Sara's only child. I do know that first and last was commonly used for the works of kings.

What I was trying to say is that God's word serves him. Whatever God speaks, the Word does. It serves him.
I was giving you an example of your word, don't get offended ok. We humans often say things that we mean at the time, but we do the opposite. That was my point. If I say, I am going to mow the lawn tomorrow, and when tomorrow comes, it rains, so I can't do it, ..then in the end, I didn't keep my word, did I?
We are not “all knowing” like God is. Our word doesn't serve us, but makes us look like liars sometimes. We say things in anger like “don't ever speak to me again”, and then after we've calmed down we have forgiveness.
We are not all knowing like our Father is, and our Word is not true like his is. MikeThe Word WAS God. USED TO BE GOD. He brought his Word out and gave it a form, an IMAGE of himself.
God didn't transform himself, but transformed HIS WORD into the man Jesus Christ when he came into the world.
