No. The OT is a Christian mistranslation of the Hebrew Tanakh, written by fallible man.
December 23, 2007 at 12:15 am#75913NickHassanParticipantHi tow,
So you have no foundation except yourself yet present your views as if you were an expert on spiritual matters?December 23, 2007 at 2:29 am#75921TowshabParticipantSince I have never said I am expert I can only assume by your statement that you view me as such. Thank you. Since I've yet to see very much scriptural knowledge from you, I fear I can not say the same about you. Sorry I am unable to reciprocate.
Thus far you appear to be not much more than a bot who twists others words for the sake of continued argument.
December 23, 2007 at 4:42 am#75929NickHassanParticipantHi Tow,
You are an expert only in useless cleverness.
Respect for God and His teachings would be more impressive.December 23, 2007 at 6:13 am#75932TowshabParticipantG-d speaks to my soul, not my eyes or ears. Your god is letters and words.
December 23, 2007 at 6:19 am#75933NickHassanParticipantHi Tow,
Interesting.
And your god denies His own scriptures?December 23, 2007 at 6:25 am#75935TowshabParticipantSorry, if G-d wants to speak to me, He does not always have to go through fallible men. You can continue to place such human authors on pedestals of infallibility if you choose.
December 23, 2007 at 6:46 am#75938NickHassanParticipantHi tow,
If your god denies scripture then it is not the God of the bible.
Even satan can perform miracles but yours does not?
Why stay with an impotent god?December 23, 2007 at 2:27 pm#75943TowshabParticipantYou sure are hung up on a god that can perform miracles. Is that who god is to you, a miracle worker? Well, where are all the miracles? You said you are not a full-time miracle worker, but you have not stated if you are at least a one-time miracle worker.
And if you are not a full-time miracle worker, where are the Christians who are? They must be hiding. Where are the part-time ones? Hiding too?
No, if you god is your god because he works miracles, then you're in trouble since there aren't too many verifiable miracles happening out there.
December 23, 2007 at 5:44 pm#75949NickHassanParticipantHi tow,
Even Jesus Christ could not perform miracles when faith was lacking.
Will there be faith on earth when he returns to rule?
But you do not accept any works of power?December 23, 2007 at 7:34 pm#75955TowshabParticipantSo are you saying then that there has been no faith since the GT was recorded? That is the last miracles written about unless you include apocryphal Christian works that most Christians do not accept.
Sad, 1900 years of faithless Christians…
December 23, 2007 at 7:36 pm#75956NickHassanParticipantHi tow,
Why should you ask about our faith when your faith does not even reach to believing the OT that you still dare to quote? We may be poor vessels but we do know where truth is to be found, the the whole Word of God, and you are not such a useful oracle.December 23, 2007 at 8:01 pm#75958TowshabParticipantAlready been over this but you continue to be the bot.
December 23, 2007 at 8:10 pm#75961NickHassanParticipantHi Tow,
So God created the universe and you learned that from the bible.
So what else in there is useful to you?
Was Abram real?December 24, 2007 at 12:37 am#75968TowshabParticipantNo I did not learn that from the bible. I learned it from witnessing His creation. You are the one who requires written words for proof. You are one step removed from an atheist.
December 24, 2007 at 12:38 am#75969TowshabParticipantI believe Abram was real, but then that is my perogative.
December 24, 2007 at 12:53 am#75972NickHassanParticipantHi Tow,
So your perogative is to believe what you will?
I agree.
So did Abram hear from God?December 24, 2007 at 1:46 am#75976NickHassanParticipantQuote (Towshab @ Dec. 23 2007,17:13) G-d speaks to my soul, not my eyes or ears. Your god is letters and words.
Hi Tow,
God speaks to your soul?
So God lives in your and guides you?
Have you always been a vessel for God or were you born again?
Does everyone have God guiding then through their soul because the evidence for that is not that obvious-perhaps you are a special case?
If you have God in you would you not be rather different?December 24, 2007 at 2:26 am#75977TowshabParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ Dec. 23 2007,18:53) Hi Tow,

I dunno. Ask Abram.December 24, 2007 at 2:29 am#75978TowshabParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ Dec. 23 2007,19:46) Quote (Towshab @ Dec. 23 2007,17:13) G-d speaks to my soul, not my eyes or ears. Your god is letters and words.
Hi Tow,

Have you always been a vessel for God or were you born again?Being 'born again' is a Christian fallacy. I was born once and from there I choose to serve G-d or not.
