The influence of the worldly Roman kingdom on the church and it's doctrines are undeniable. Constantine organised and chaired church assembles where vital doctrinal decisions were made. Hey, isn't he the guy that changed the Sabbath day? Or was it the Bishop of Rome and Constantine?I believe it was one of the worst things that has ever happened to Christianity. Not just the false doctrines, but by making becoming a Christian the “politically correct” thing to do, everyone was doing it with no real commitment or even an understanding of what true Chritianity is and this continues to today.
I personally believe that God has been restoring truth and true commitment in these last days despite the dominance of the “churches” and their false beliefs.

Constantine is among the few men whose name history has embellished with the term “Great.” Christendom has added the expressions “saint,” “thirteenth apostle,” “holy equal of the apostles,” and ‘chosen by God’s Providence to accomplish the greatest turnabout in the whole world.’
At the other end of the spectrum, some describe Constantine as “bloodstained, stigmatized by countless enormities and full of deceit, . . . a hideous tyrant, guilty of horrid crimes.”

Hey Dave,I believe he was one of the greastest antichrist to date. He started the destroying from the inside. Out of that apostate church (religion/politics) came the “Pope” or better known by the Catholic cleary as “The Most Holy Father”.
Jesus' church came “OUT” of that church and has been filtering out of the apostate church ever since. The result today are people looking for truth and so started the
“I ndependent church”. Now we see another “coming out” (Rev.18:4) people that are attracted to this web site because of the truth we speak of.I believe the letters to the churches in Rev. 2&3 are symbolic for the “Church Era” beginning from first century. Satan didn't waste anytime and had actually started before the end of the first true church.

It wasn't until the third century? What an awful truth for the Pope's boys.
