i'm not 100% sure, but is there a way to edit? sometimes i make simple mistakes.
September 14, 2005 at 8:07 am#8691AdminKeymasterThere use to be, but it was abused by some people so it was turned off. Some people decided to edit their posts to their advantage once they realised they weren't doing do well in the context of the conversation. This wasted the time of those who spent their time answering a post that was later edited. This also made the conversation(s) hard to follow.
There is however a 'Preview Post' option and you can save uncompleted posts as drafts in your 'Notepad'.

Hi Heaven:In my post to Cult Buster under the topic “I Am” Exodus 3:14/John 8:57, 58″ on April 10th, my post #376, I left a statement at the very bottom of my post that belongs to CB, can you delete it from my post? The statement is: “Who was being tempted here? Jesus; The Lord thy God”. This of course is not what I believe.
Thanks
April 11, 2007 at 11:02 am#48573AdminKeymasterYou now have editing rights. So you can do it.
Editing rights is for correcting grammar and spelling. It is not for rewriting a post or changing the content for whatever reason. Thanks 942767.
May 26, 2007 at 10:52 pm#53259942767ParticipantHi Heaven:
I copied a post from the John 1:1 in defense of NWT to the new John 1:1 thread, but how do I delete the post from the NWT John 1:1. I can edit and delete the whole thing if this is acceptable.
May 27, 2007 at 11:19 pm#53739AdminKeymasterYou can't delete posts in Heaven Net. Once they are made they are set in concrete and only the Super Admin (Heaven) has the permission to delete any post.
I was about to delete your post for you as you say you moved it to a more appropriate discussion, but I decided not to in the end because there are too many posts after your post that if it were deleted it would make the conversation very hard to follow. To completely fix that, would require me to delete all the reponses from others too. Unless everybody agreed to that, I can't do it.
I think it is best to leave it now and just use the appropriate discussions from now on.
I also moved the “What About John 1:1” discussion to the “The Bible” forum as it is really about the NWT. I also renamed it slightly to “What About John 1:1 in the NWT?” in case a person didn't read the description.

Hi Heaven:I understood that editing rights were to correct grammar etc. and so I did not want to delete any thing without permission to do so, and that is why I asked.
I was just trying to do what I could to make David happy?
God Bless
January 17, 2010 at 6:42 am#170587chosenoneParticipantHi heaven.
I tried your instructions about answering a part of a post, it worked fine. But how do you answer another part of the same post and answer it again? I see others doing it many times, eg. Part of a post, then answer it. Then another part, then answer it. then another etc. etc.?Thank you, Jerry.
January 22, 2010 at 2:52 am#172432AdminKeymasterIf you are talking about doing this all in one post, then after the first quote which have done, you can then copy the next required text from the original post, (requires 2 tabs or browser windows) then click on the Quote button in your post, paste the sentences from the other post, then click the quote button again to close the quote. Then carry on with your post and repeat the process as much as required.

Here is the link for a request I have if you do not mind!
Sorry to bother you again. The title should be “God” with a capitol “G” and the word “Arian” with a capitol “A”
Thanks WJ
March 27, 2010 at 11:10 pm#185063JustAskinParticipantHi Heaven/T8,
Please can I get editing roights?
Thunks.
Should everyone have editing rights up to the ooint where another post is made to the same thread?
If the editing is 'in progress' when another post is made the editing is then invalidated, as the post could have been in a response to the current text… Just asking
