Hi,
Scripture tells us “old men will dream dreams..”There are lots of references in the bible to God showing men truths through their dreams.I believe it is so and we should pay attention to what happens in our mind in our down time. I believe we are “serviced” in our minds and hearts by the One who never sleeps.
August 18, 2006 at 7:03 am#24745ProclaimerParticipantI agree.
Often our dreams are beyond comprehension, yet at the time of the dream it is understood by our spirit/soul.
I received a dream last week which came from God. He has spoken to me in my dreams many times. I suspect that he does that with many others too, even if they don't realise it.
We just need ears to here and eyes to see.

November 15, 2006 at 5:38 pm#32423NickHassanParticipantHi,
People love to sleep and a certain amount of it we do need to survive. It is a gift of God.
Psalm 4:8
I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
God uses the time12And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him.
13And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;
Jb 4
12Now a thing was secretly brought to me, and mine ear received a little thereof.13In thoughts from the visions of the night, when deep sleep falleth on men,
Gen 28
10And Jacob went out from Beersheba, and went toward Haran.11And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep.
12And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.
13And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;
14And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
15And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.
16And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not.
17And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.
Jb 33
14For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not.15In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;
16Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction,
Death is sleep.
Psalm 13:3
Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;John 11:11
These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleepGod does not sleep but uses the twilight hours to help us.
Psalm 121:4
Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. We learn by spiritual reflection and gain insight and knowledge as we have so much to learn by meditation. The Counsellor helps and advises us.
Psalm 119:148
Mine eyes prevent the night watches, that I might meditate in thy word.
Psalm 16:7
I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
Psalm 17:3
Thou hast proved mine heart; thou hast visited me in the night; thou hast tried me, and shalt find nothing; I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress. But sleep too can be spiritual sleep, ignoring God.
1 Thessalonians 5:6
Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.Lk 22
45And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow,46And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.
Proverbs 24:33
Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:The five bridesmaids were found to be asleep.
We must be awake
Rev 3
I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. 2Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your deeds complete in the sight of my God. 3Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; obey it, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.February 15, 2007 at 10:27 pm#40429NickHassanParticipanttopical

so … are there any interpretors/interpretators here? lol
February 15, 2007 at 10:50 pm#40432NickHassanParticipantHi P,
We can all have a go but praying for wisdom yourself is a better answer.James 1
” 5If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.6But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.”
February 19, 2007 at 1:00 am#40653PhoenixParticipantWell… after that dream I posted in my dream thread on the Question board I had another disturbing dream which I did not like at all. I will not describe it but anyway the next day I spent all day crying and sad because I honestly felt that maybe Satan put this dream in my mind I dont know but since I thought that I kept crying to God to not let him (or whoever it may be) put such dreams in my mind. Yes I actually should say its a nightmare. That night I had a better dream. Im not sure if it was me or what but the obscenities in that dream was blocked out and I woke up happy that that actually happened so I honestly thanked God for that. And now my dreams just keep getting better and better especially last nites dream.. it was so interesting that I woke up and trying to keep remembering it so that I would write it down but unfortunately I was soooo tired that I didnt feel like getting up out of bed to go write it down LOL. However, while i was dosing back to sleep, Im sure I heard a knock. Scared the bejeebus out of me then i immediately thought to myself… alright im getting up to write that dream down. So I did. At 1.35am!!! LOL Although parts of the dream I did end up forgetting.
Hugs
PhoenixFebruary 19, 2007 at 5:16 am#41799DebraParticipantHi phoenix
I remember a dream as vividly today as I did 10 years ago when I dreamed it. I was in bondage to a master teacher of the enemy at the time, and had a repulsion for Christianity, and took pleasure in attacking people of the faith with my philoshophy. I had just attended a festival dedicated to the god I was following and came away dissapointed I couldn't understand why I wasn't floating around like everyone else seemed to be doing. and felt uneasy about telling even my closest friend about my doubts, so kept the secret to myself. Anyway not long after that I had this dream…
I was with my brothers and sisters in the cult,we were in a paddock or field and it was getting dark,so everyone started leaving, I turned in the opposite direction to where they were going and noticed a bridge and on the other side was a throne, sitting on the thorne was someone who was surrounded by a glow. I started to walk towards the bridge and it kept changing, from straight to curved, I wanted to get across but everytime I got to the middle,it dropped away revealing a dark deep hole in the earth, I was getting frantic and a storm was blowing up, my friends were calling for me to come back, it was dangerous to try and get across. Finally I ran and I made it, I looked back and the bridge was gone, and my friends were walking away….
I'll stop there, but within a short time I heard the Gospel and a fire started in my heart, I longed to know God,the real God, my journey took me to some very interesting places.
I've never look back and want to be back in Egypt, eventhough at times the desert can be harsh. God will keep His promise to those who obey His Word I truley believe that.
God bless.February 19, 2007 at 7:57 am#41812PhoenixParticipantWow thats cool Debra. Im glad you saw my post. I was gonna email you but never got around to it.

Joel 2:28
And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:God used to speak to me by showing me visions of things to come and lately, he has spoken to me in a dream, and so I guess that means that I am now an old man, but I am thankful that God is still speaking to me. Of course, not all dreams are from God, and if he is speaking to you in a dream you will remember it unless it is situation such the Nebuchednazzar, Daniel situation.
I'll share my dream with you in the testimony section.
God Bless

We need to discern carefully the meaning of dreams and not rush to assume things and act precipitously on those assumptions.June 18, 2007 at 1:04 pm#55726kenrchParticipantQuote (942767 @ June 17 2007,02:16) Hi All: Joel 2:28

God does use dreams and we should attempt to understand what He means from them.April 1, 2008 at 5:12 pm#85705NickHassanParticipantHi,
Sleep is sometimes the only downtime for the mind when God can break through our noisy busy lives. But we should not assume all dreams are a mesage form the Almighty as we need to test all things against what is revealed in the Word of God.Deut 13
2And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;3Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
4Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.
