I heard it. I even thought at once it was “good news”. But then I started seeing what kind of dad Jesus supposedly had…then the news didn't seem as good anymore.
Hi KJ,
Despite your unwise judgements against God you have not found a more powerful ally and since you have rejected the advocate for men you will need one.April 12, 2008 at 8:41 pm#86920TimothyVIParticipantHI Nick,
I think that you missed the point that kejohn has never made any unwise judgement against God.
On the contrary, he has taken a stand against the bible which makes blasphemous, degrading statements about the character of God.
God may actually like the fact that someone is sticking up for Him for a change.Tim

I think he will be deemed “unwise” simply because he is not exercising blind faith.April 12, 2008 at 9:46 pm#86933942767ParticipantQuote (kejonn @ April 13 2008,00:47) Quote (Nick Hassan @ April 11 2008,23:12) Hi KJ,

Hi KJ:And what kind of dad did Jesus have? Although men have misunderstood him because of some events in the OT, Jesus has revealed His character to humanity through the life that he lived in obedience to God's Word.

What's to misundertand? By the bible's own account, Yahweh killed over 2 million people. Many were women, children, and babies. Not the God I look forward to having a relationship with.

That's OK Tim. I already know Nick worships the bible. He equates God with the bible and can't see that it insults an almighty God to know that ancient Israelites said He killed so many, and that these same men made many sexist and racist rules in His name.April 12, 2008 at 10:21 pm#86940kejonnParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ April 12 2008,16:47) Hi not3,

You forgot the word “blind”. Its “blind faith”.I don't want any company on my “lonely” walk. I have friends and family and I visit forums in my leisure time. Communication of this type keeps my mind active.

Killed or rendered judgment on the wicked?April 12, 2008 at 11:03 pm#86958CatoParticipant1 Samuel 15:3

You cannot even accept new better revelations from a returned messiah if you cannot doubt what scripture he tells you is wrong. After all he did that last time as you keep telling us. Doubt is promise. Some are ignorant of its value.Stuart

Hi Cato:Children are the responsibility of their parents. If the parents are wicked, their children will not be spared either.

It's very disturbing to say the least, although I know the OT is filled with this sort of thing.

It doesn't seem quite just, but then again, most of the killings seem like there could have been another way. Ironic how God tells us not to murder and then….

So glad that rule doesn't apply now……think of all the children who would be wiped out. Hi Mandy:There will also be a day of judgment coming after the Lord comes for the church. God will also not spare then anything that belongs to the wicked then either.

You mean more babies have to die? What if they were baptized as babies – does that count?

Certainly their “wicked” parents think baptizing their babies counts for something. And I'm sure they would agree their actions were motivated by faith. Sometimes Nick, I wonder who you think you are to make some of these lofty comments. Is your brand of faith better?

Hi Mandy:Babies die every day. Death is a reality, but children of those who are saved will also be saved, but the children of the wicked will not be saved. However, it is the parents who are being judged.
The scripture states “He who believes and is baptized shall be saved”. Can an infant believe? A child is the responsibility of the parents. Children of parents who are saved are also saved as long as they are in the parents control or until they are old enough to exercise their faith on their own.
