Do not be misled by them!
I don't worry about stepping into a Kingdom Hall again. I did for awhile, but through my continued studies I learned something that eased the pain of not going back. What was that?
Recall the scripture at Matthew 24:24, as most will remember: “For false Christs and false Prophets will arise and will give great signs and wonders so as to mislead, if possible, even the Chosen ones.”
Now when I was going to the various Halls I attended, my eyes would focus on this scripture and I would wonder, 'Just which religious organization on this earth now might possibly mislead even the Chosen ones'?
It took me a long time to arrive at the answer to that question, but the answer was staring me in the face all the time. It was hard to take but there could only be one answer. It had to be the Governing Body of the Watchtower Society for there isn't another Religion on this Planet that teaches the Bible as they do, or could even lead a Bull down the Garden Path. It looks, I know, like the only true Religion, but looks can be very deceiving can they not? They are the only ones who might possibly mislead even the Chosen Ones because they teach so close to the truth. So I apply Matthew 24:24 to the Organization of the Watchtower Society. They are the only ones who fill the Bill. That's not all, there's more!
Then in Luke 21: 8 I apply this scripture also to them. Most will remember it, I'm sure: “He said, “Look out that you are not misled; 'For many will come on the basis of my name, saying, 'I am He' and the due time has approached' do not go after them!”
Now, in my twenty-one years as a witness of Jehovah, how many times had I gone door to door telling people exactly that? For myself, I can say, 'Many many times!' I apply this scripture also to the Governing Body of the Watchtower Society. For who else was doing a Work like ours?. I answer, absolutely no one! So they fill the Bill here too, but that's not all, there's more! One more to be exact!
You'll remember we are to establish every matter, at … “The mouth of two or three witnesses”? So, now, on to my third witness at 2 Thessalonians 2: 1-3 where Paul wrote, in part: … “Not to be quickly shaken from your reason nor to be exited either through an inspired expression or through a verbal message, or through a letter as though from us to the effect that the day of Jehovah is here.” Please note the expression as though from us.
Now, ask yourself who has a message or a letter that looks like it comes from the true followers of Christ? There's only one answer to that question: The Governing Body of the Watchtower Society has that message and that letter. So I apply this scripture to them as well.
Now, I have established what I say at the 'mouth of two or three witnesses' So, what more is needed? [2 Corinthians 13:1]
This leaves us with nowhere to go except to the Christ himself, to worship Jehovah because in spite of their claim to the contrary, that is not Jehovah's Organization, not at all!
Jesus said: “Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there, I am in their midst.”{Matthew 18:20}
On the basis of that scripture alone, we could study with anyone we choose. We do not need any puffed up self proclaimed false prophet to follow! It is Jesus, who is in control of the Holy Spirit and He can teach us 'all things' even that 'which is to come'. [John 14:26; 16:13] So, do not be misled by them! Texas!

Actually, texas, to the vast majority of people, it looks nothing like what they want the true religion to look like.
They don't want the true religion to involve work or sacrifice. They don't expect to die because of their stance on blood. They don't want only a few to accept it but want it to be popular. Maybe to you, it looks like the true religion, but to most, it looks like foolishness.“They are the only ones who might possibly mislead even the Chosen Ones because they teach so close to the truth.”–texas.
You know, as far as I can tell, you share 97% of the same beliefs they do.

Texas, did you read what you just said? True, no one else is doing a work like theirs. (mat 24:14) No one else is even close. People continuously compare us to Mormons' but only 1/200 mormons engage in the preaching work and only for a couple years. And nor do they preach where it is illegal. We go everywhere.
You look at the fact that “absolutely” no one else is doing a work like JW's as proof that “they teach so close to the truth” that they are the only ones who could be deceiving people?
What you say about them does not really match your conclusion about them. Apparently, they so resemble the truth, they must be a clever counterfeit. Is that your logic?“They are the only ones who fill the Bill.”–texas
So for years you thought they were the only religion that was correct, now you feel they are the only religion that makes up the “false Christs and false Prophets.”
No one on this site will agree with either of those ideas. You creating a thread saying not to be mislead by them is almost ironical, for almost everyone on this site will state over and over that you have been mislead by them, due to the fact that you believe almost exactly what they do–things that most on here disagree with. They will even disagree with you on your use of their Bible which you keep quoting. My guess is, now that you've left, you'll want to be popular and fit in. You'll start to drop many of your beliefs, etc and take it easy and relax your beliefs. That is how it goes.I again would like to state that you almost seem to be building a case for JW's:
“who has a message or a letter that looks like it comes from the true followers of Christ?”–texas

Hello David!
You read what I stated, and I'm not for them, I'm against them, as my article very plainly said to you! You're correct! they are a very clever counterfeit! I may share most of their beliefs, but I do not share them in association with them!
By the way,did you read my article on Baptism? I didn't learn that from them! That was taught to me by means of the Holy Spirit, not by the Governing Body! Also my article on “Where is Jehovah's Organization now”? That too was taught to me by the Holy Spirit! You prove that it wasn't!! Texas!April 15, 2009 at 6:00 pm#127737NickHassanParticipantHi texas,
If the things you have learned have come from the Spirit of Christ then they will reflect scripture. But you speak against water baptism shown 17 times in Acts done by faithful servants?
Jn16
13Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.14He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

Hello Nick Hassan!Well, I reason that the Bible foretold that the one to come after John the Baptist who Baptized in water, for the Jewish Nation, was the Christ, and it was also foretold that Jesus would do his baptitizing work in Holy Spirit, without the use of any water. {Joel 2:28,29} Now everything mentioned in the Bible about water baptism, was solely for the Jewish Nation alone; because they was the ones under the old Mosaic Law Covenant. They was the ones who had sinned while under that Law! The Nations had no need of that baptism, because they were not under that Law, therefore could not sin while under that Law, as did the Jews! The Nations didn't come into play until after the ascension of the Christ, and he then showed at Pentecost that he was in control of all of the baptizing work. You will notice in Acts Chapter 2 that no water was used when the Christ did that baptising work from the invisible heavens. So, why would it be used today, since that is true! Matthew 28:19
Is it entirely possible that the scripture that you used in John 16:13 has revealed to me something that was “yet to come”, as that scripture pointed out?
Knowledge is progressive, is it not” Doesn't it make sense, that some things would change as knowledge progressed?
Didn't the Prophet Daniel foretell, that in the 'time of the end', 'the true knowledge would become abundant'? {Daniel 12:4}
Shouldn't that tell us that not everything was accurately known in the first Century? Are we not now, in the time of the end? Personally, I believe that we are, and we best get ready for a few more surprises! Texas!April 15, 2009 at 8:46 pm#127752NickHassanParticipantHi Texas,

Nick Hassan!
Why do you try to twist my words to suit yourself? I was talking about the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, where the Jews was given first priority. {Joel 2:28,29} But that Chapter is for all men, as it contains knowledge that will help put us all on the road to everlasting life!Again the Nations did not come into play until after the followers of the christ received the gifts of the spirit, which entailed the laying on of the hands, that enabled the Christ to, do his baptising work in Holy Spirit. Using no water! {Luke 24:49} {Acts 1:1-5} Acts 2 will show that, that is true!
Where do you see the mention of any water being used when the Holy Spirit was poured out at Pentecost?
Listen smart guy! You are the one who needs to wake-up! You had better be quick about doing that too, because Jehovah will not tolerate your nonsense for much longer, I'm sure of that! Texas!

Hello again Nick Hassan!
I forgot to mention to you in my last reply to you, that there has never been an instance when I've not used scripture to back up everything that I've stated in all of my writings! Now, if you fail to read the scriptures that I cite, then the fault is your own,not mine! I'm usually very careful to make certain that I supply scriptures to back up what I'm saying! I never, in my life, have put down my own ideas on scripural matters, but I always allow the Bible to do its own speaking. I do that because of what is written at John 17:3 which states: “This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.” Now from that I know, that only accurate knowledge of the truth is at issue here, only accurate knowledge will put us on the road to everlasting life! Not the 'falsely called knowlwedge' the Bible speaks about. {1 Timothy 6:20} Would I put my everlasting life at stake by teaching my own ideas? Not on your life, I wouldn't! Folk USE SCRIPTURE all the time to back their ideas.
It is extremely malleable.Better to let scripture speak and teach us and USE US.
