Did Jesus tell his disciples of the first three seals that was later written in the Book of Revelation? It appears so.
Matthew 24:3
As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”
Se below for comparisons. The first one may not be that clear except to say that many believe both reference the Antichrist or Antichrists. The other two seals seem to match the words of Jesus in Matthew 24 quite clearly. We also know that Jesus was the one who delivered the Revelation to the angel who delivered it to John. Jesus got the revelation from God his Father.
Matthew 24 Revelation 6 4 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you.
5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.1 Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder, “Come and see.”
2 And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.3 When He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “Come and see.”
4 Another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that people should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.5 When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come and see.” So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand.
6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.”If you continue to read the words of Jesus in Matthew 24 and the Book of Revelation, you will see other commonalities such as earthquakes and great persecution.
Watch this interesting video about Matthew 24. It explains the above as well as why Jesus in Matthew 24 was not talking about the rapture. It also teaches that the saints do not return to earth with Jesus, rather that it is the holy angels that come to earth upon Jesus’ return. While I may or may not agree with everything in the video, I think the points made are worthy of consideration.
