Quote (david @ Nov. 25 2012,16:45) I didn't read this thread, but the experiment was tried with monkeys once for a while. What they got was several pages of the capital letter “S” SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
….Although it has been proposed that you could come up with Shakespeare with randomness, monkeys aren't random. And they seem to like the letter “s”
Ahh. How do we not know that the monkey made this whole post. And to Atheists, you have to be open to that possibility because the post could be the random tapping on keys by a monkey, as opposed to a product of a mind. I won't say intelligent mind coz david you might get a head swell.
And I think that all Atheists should ask when they reply to a post that this is not a random post from a monkey first. After all, you do similar when it comes to the vast universe.
So how about doing that which is in line with your basis of reality and check that each post is not a random process before talking back to the mind that made the post.

It's a random post from an ape, not a monkey.Unless you have a tail, t8?

None?
If so, then that monkey typing out the dictionary had one go.

That's two random posts from one African great ape.Of course these aren't your first random posts t8.

November 30, 2012 at 10:19 am#322808ProclaimerParticipantt8? who's that?
My name is magilla and I am typing this out without realising it. Just tapping the keys randomly and this post is the result.
You have to at least give this credibility because it lines up with your view of the universe. If you are insulted by this post, then you have at least some common sense here, so please apply that same common sense to your current view of of the universe and reality.

November 30, 2012 at 10:41 am#322812seekingtruthParticipantI postulated on another thread a couple of years ago that there really wasn't any such thing as “Stu” but it was just a random firing of bits that appeared to have intelligence. Of course the mis-firings of late seem to have lost the appearance of intelligence becoming gibberish, so I guess this monkey (ape) failed to prove evolution (after all it is more likely for a chance event to happen within “something” than for everything to come from nothing).

Apes aren't monkeys.Sheesh, as Americans say. The biological knowledge of posters here is abysmal.

November 30, 2012 at 10:58 am#322814ProclaimerParticipantAnd that is what you have resorted to Stu. Apes aren't monkeys. Who cares. We are talking about reality and the wonder of creation, and you are arguing over technical language regarding apes and monkeys.
Tell you what. We win about God existing and you win about apes not being monkeys. That is 1 – 1. So a win win situation and we are all happy now.
November 30, 2012 at 10:59 am#322815ProclaimerParticipantI like the word monkey. It has an aura of intelligence to it.
I prefer to use it, rather than primate myself coz it sounds more credible.November 30, 2012 at 11:03 am#322817ProclaimerParticipantOh hi guys. T8 here. I apologise for the last few posts. My pet monkey found my keyboard and started hitting the keys randomly. I know this is hard to believe, but remember that the universe is also hard to believe when you remove God from it, and yet here it is and here we are.
Thanks and again a big apology. Now where did that damn dirty ape get to.
November 30, 2012 at 11:03 am#322818seekingtruthParticipantPerhaps I should have said (ape in this case) but hey I guess I didn't stop to think that this random misfiring would manifest what appears to be a response, with what looks to be emotion.
Still, this is far more likely, than for life to have come from nothing.
November 30, 2012 at 11:14 am#322820TimothyVIParticipantT8 and seekingtruth are showing a pattern of pretending that stu does not exist. This must come from an aptitude of pretending that other things do exist.

Actually not me. My last 3 posts were randomly typed out by my pet monkey that was all. No need for alarm or offence. Just random keys that was all. Any design in construction of the language was coincidental I can assure you.November 30, 2012 at 11:28 am#322824ProclaimerParticipantQuote (seekingtruth @ Dec. 01 2012,00:21) Who has to pretend I'm just following the example you guy's have laid out that all things are possible no matter how absurd the odds.

You won the booby prize. That's definitely not a monkey.
