Quote (2besee @ Mar. 25 2013,09:11) Quote (Colter @ Mar. 25 2013,01:10) The story of the origin of the UB, celestial beings communicating through a “sleeping subject” over a period of some 20+ years in Chicago Illinois (1911-34?) printed in 55, doesn't lend any more authority to the UB then Jesus coming from Nazareth. It's the compelling content that inspires people. Cut from the Urantia Foundation web site:
“The Urantia Book, first published by Urantia Foundation in 1955, claims to have been presented by celestial beings as a revelation to our planet, Urantia.
The writings in The Urantia Book instruct us on the genesis, history, and destiny of humanity and on our relationship with God the Father. They present a unique and compelling portrayal of the life and teachings of Jesus. They open new vistas of time and eternity to the human spirit, and offer new details of our ascending adventure in a friendly and carefully administered universe.
The Urantia Book offers a clear and concise integration of science, philosophy, and religion. Those who read and study it believe that The Urantia Book has the capacity to make a significant contribution to the religious and philosophical thinking of people worldwide.
The Urantia Book is not a “religion” per se. It builds upon the religious heritages of the past and present, encouraging a personal, living religious faith.
Readers around the world have told us that reading The Urantia Book has profoundly affected them and often changed their lives. It has inspired them to reach new levels of spiritual growth and enhanced their sense of the value of human life.
We encourage you to read it as well and discover for yourself its ennobling message.”

Colter,In your own words, what does the “Urantia” say regarding the return of Jesus?
The Urantia Book say's the same thing about the return of Jesus that the Bible says, that time is known only in Paradise.* They speculate that it will likely happen when the world enters the age of light and light, when the kingdom of heaven comes to fruition.
* But Jesus will only come to visit as his rightful place is on high.
* Jesus also has “sheep not of this fold”, other inhabited worlds under his creatorship. 10,000,000 under his authority. They were able to watch his life in the flesh while on earth through a special broadcast. They also received his gospel.

You owe me an apology. You say that my posts are too long but you willingly read others posts up there without complaining, and mine were only half the size. And also, your reply posts to theirs were two times longer than mine.So I agree with Colter, regarding certain people needing to suppress truth, even if I do not follow the Urantia Book, or believe as Colter does.

The appeal of all such religions is largely to the mind. And now are we about to enter upon a deadly conflict with such a religion since we will so shortly begin the bold proclamation of a new religion — a religion which is not a religion in the present-day meaning of that word, a religion that makes its chief appeal to the divine spirit of my Father which resides in the mind of man; a religion which shall derive its authority from the fruits of its acceptance that will so certainly appear in the personal experience of all who really and truly become believers in the truths of this higher spiritual communion.”
(1730.1) 155:5.13 Pointing out each of the twenty-four and calling them by name, Jesus said: “And now, which one of you would prefer to take this easy path of conformity to an established and fossilized religion, as defended by the Pharisees at Jerusalem, rather than to suffer the difficulties and persecutions attendant upon the mission of proclaiming a better way of salvation to men while you realize the satisfaction of discovering for yourselves the beauties of the realities of a living and personal experience in the eternal truths and supreme grandeurs of the kingdom of heaven? Are you fearful, soft, and ease-seeking? Are you afraid to trust your future in the hands of the God of truth, whose sons you are? Are you distrustful of the Father, whose children you are? Will you go back to the easy path of the certainty and intellectual settledness of the religion of traditional authority, or will you gird yourselves to go forward with me into that uncertain and troublous future of proclaiming the new truths of the religion of the spirit, the kingdom of heaven in the hearts of men?” UB 1955

By “Up There” I meant the posts in “Believers Place”.
You complained that my posts were too long, when they weren't! They were only HALF of yours and HALF of other posters. But you told me that they were “Too Long”. Then after saying that — you went on the next day to read and reply to posts that were three times the length of mine, as were your replies. See how hypocritical that is?My advice to you…

Could be the same channel on the same planet where it is possible to see all the kingdoms of the world from a high mountain in the Middle East – including the ancient Kingdom of Tonga.Stuart

Where can I buy a 4D TV?
March 25, 2013 at 9:43 am#339436ProclaimerParticipantBTW, I have seen many of these Kingdoms from TV and have personally visited the Kingdom of Tonga. But yeah, TeleVISION has helped me see many things. I guess that Jesus had a VISION Stu. A bit like TeleVISION, but GodVISION.
In fact, much of the Bible is written accounts of VISIONS.
I have had many VISIONS myself. But you would deny that reality because it doesn't fit with your reality.

Hi Colter.
When you say that Jesus will return “…..when the world enters the age of light and light, when the kingdom of heaven comes to fruition.”
What does that mean?
I will simplify as much as I can the teachings of the Urantia revelation on these issues.* The “Kingdom of heaven” is spiritual, it was established by Jesus. It consists' of those those who by faith realize the Fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of all mankind (the sum of those who believe in the original gospel). 2besee, I sense you are in the kingdom.
unfortunately, temporarily the early followers of Jesus failed to remain true to the spiritual kingdom ideal of Jesus. The socialized institution of the churchbecame a substitute.
*Eventually the followers of God the Father will return to the ideal of the spiritual kingdom that was spoken of by the prophets Miciah 4
* In that future age the gospel will have subdued the earth, God will rule in the hearts of all mankind. We will learn war no more, peace on earth and good will among men will be the norm.
