This whole theory of you guys calling the web the beast makes no sense when taken in context of the scriptures:Revelation 13:14-18

Therefore it cannot apply to the internet because there is the beast and then they are asked to make an image to the beast not to mention this beast had been wounded so what you have is “the beast” and “the image of the beast” simply nothing there that can associate itself with the internet.

Notice how you have “this=that” but yet in the full context no definite “this or that”? Do you know how many endless speculations have come from this book of revelation? Do you know how many and how long the end time has been predicted and untold amounts of people have been called the false prophet or beast or antichrist? Boditharta.Those prophets are false prophets.
They made themselves prophets.
They are there to destroy our faith in God and Jesus.
To cause confusion.Dont be concerned about them.Many have predicted all sorts of things;even the coming. Result,zero. But this does not proof that the written prophesies are wrong.
Them interpreting are wrong.Study the prophesies,and you will be so glad you did.
I have found it; and you should find also, if the heart is eager enough to know.

The scriptures regarding Jesus were not that obvious, but Jesus pointed them out after the fact. I don't think prophecies are not meant to be understood clearly before the time or way before the time. Those who spout that they have all the answers now are probably no different to the people who had all the answers in the past and failed. Yes it is true that it will get clearer as we near the end though, but the wicked will not understand.

I am glad you said theory. I don't know how this will play out, but the fact that www = 666 and it is a worldwide network that connects people, machines, and AI, and has increased knowledge more than anything else is certainly a contender.Perhaps it is not what the Web is now, but what it will become. Google just bought out a AI company because that is very much where they see the future. Apple has Siri a personal assistant that I guess could one day dictate what people need to do, who to see, appointments, etc. People could be obeying a machine or AI in the future instead of God.
Who knows. But I never made a case that the Web was the Beast, rather the image.
Let's say there was a future leader who had all the answers and answered as Christ and/or the Mahdi. Would not an influential leader in the future use technology to spread his influence through Social Media and the Web. After all Hitler brainwashed some of the youth of his day with media that pales in comparison. Imagine a fully immersible technology like a virtual world with AI for example. Perhaps that is the perfect medium for a false Christ to connect with the world at the same time.
I am not saying this is so, but that we need to be open minded about how this will all play out. If scripture says that we can count the number of the Beast and the WWW is 666, then it is worth keeping our eyes open as to what could be, lest be be deceived. And let's face it, the Web is no small thing today. It is one of the most important creations of man in history. And we haven't even seen half of what it will do.

I haven't gone quiet at all I actually haven't been on the net as much but it is not because it is “the beast” It is because like other forms of technology of the past like radio or television these things can simply consume your lives too much. no doubt that someone most likely imagined the television as the “beast” I mean seriously that invention brought visual and audio sin right into your home and many almost can't live without it just like the multi app phones and tablets, try having dinner with someone with these devices it is not a pleasant experience.But, no these are endless distraction because they are entertaining and a person should always use caution when being amused and be diligent towards their duties in life. Use the tools and not the other way around.

Now here is something interesting, you are saying it would be better to starve to death but interestingly enough in the Quran where it is forbidden to eat pork it says:He has forbidden you only the dead animals, and blood, and the flesh of swine, and that which is slaughtered as a sacrifice for others than Allaah (or has been slaughtered for idols, etc., on which Allaah's Name has not been mentioned while slaughtering).But whoever is forced [by necessity], neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit], there is no sin upon him. Truly, Allaah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.}[Quran 2:173] Allaah also Says (what means): {…while He has explained in detail to you what He has forbidden you, excepting that to which you are compelled.}[Quran 6:119]
God is Merciful and Forgiving even the gentiles were not given to accepting all the things of the law, do you believe God would feel betrayed if you ate something when you were hungry?
Do you think God would have punished Adam and Eve if they were truly Hungry when they ate from the tree?
Perhaps what these verses you refer to have to do with being forced by desire and not necessity.

Actually the Web is much more liberating than cable television or even more specific major network programming because it was much easier to control people with a concentrated source of information then it is or can be with the internet.Hitler may have been stopped much quicker had the internet and all todays technology been around.

There is a reason why God forbad the jews from eating swine flesh.
It is because of health. swine flesh contains worms.
And the gentiles sacrifice swine to their gods.
But that has changed in the new testament.
All creaters are created by God and good for food if taken with thanks giving.1 Timothy 4:3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

1 Timothy 4:5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
To save one self by breaking the commandments of God
is a no no.
To save one self and family by taking the mark of the beast
means death. You can not worship two masters.He who saves his life shall loose it;and he who looses his life for my sake shall find life.
He who loves father,mother,wife, brothers and sisters more than me is not worthy of me.
