“My Bible” is closer to the Greek than yours. That is because, apparently, well with the Jerusalem Bible, they compared it with the Dead Sea Scrolls, and used that to help with translation in parts.

ANYWAY…… The word “He” is not necessarily in the Greek, and neither is the word “In” (The mark “In” the hand”).

Yes today for many people it is liberating because there is no central body that owns it, thus access is easy and censorship is low.

But the Internet and especially the Internet of Things would be the greatest power a dictator could have. Imagine a whole world that is connected including all the things, and you can see that it would be possible that one man could one day sit atop the whole system. Before everything was networked in this fashion, this would have been impossible.

Think of it as the capstone being placed on the pyramid. It sits at the top and it is the smallest part. And yet it only needs to connect to the next layer down, and that next layer connects to the next bigger layer etc, until you have a full pyramid being connected to the capstone.
