Yes, I know. Jesus also ate a meal with his disciples all the while declaring that he was not a spirit
B,tharta. If I could dematerialise in front of you,I will be invisible.
Then I materialise in front of you,see I am flesh truly flesh ,give me something to eat.Flesh and bone can not go through walls.
Jesus stayed 40 days on earth and visited his friends on and off,he did not live with them. How would he travel? Where would he have his meals?Just by appearing and disappearing,he has no need for food.wakeup.
So why was he hungry?November 15, 2012 at 4:10 pm#320464WakeupParticipantB,tharta.
Jesus was not hungry; he only wants to proof that he is not a spirit.
Angels dont eat our food, the 3 angels ate with Abraham because they were invited, and Abraham did a lot of preperations to accomodate his guests.
They materialised, and became flesh is that so hard to do for them?Same with Jesus;he just flick the swich, and he became flesh.
Switch off the switch, and he is spirit.wakeup.

Timothy.Miracles is not what God wants; to gain his childrens love.
What will happen if great miracles happen on a daily basis?
It wont be a miracle anymore, people will see it as just nature. No big deal. Just like a simple fruit tree, bearing beautiful fruits every year; fruits manufactured out of the dung.
I see that as a miracle;but the world sees that, as just nature.Silent miracles happens every day,we just dont realise it.
Many muslems are drawn to Jesus;that is a miracle.
Learned people drawn to Jesus;thats a miracle.Through faith we understand that the worlds were FRAMED BY THE WORD OF GOD,so that things which are seen, were NOT MADE of things which do APPEAR.(heb11:2).
All is made by the word, which is Jesus.

Ion't believe Timothy was down playing the miracle of nature it seems to me h is making a logical observation you say Jesus was a spirit that can materialize in flesh at will which would also make him being born through Mary and having to grow up a serious waste of time. The fact is the bible doesn't say that Jesus materialized or appeared out of nowhere if anything it suggests that after the “crucifixion” when everyone of his disciples were afraid for their lives that he alsowanted to be undetected and wore clothing that hid his appearance which is why Mary did not know who he was in the Garden until he revealed himself to her but quickly told her not to touch him because someone might see and he would be discovered alive and well.
He told her I have NOT ascended.
He told them TOUCH me, a Spirit does not have FLESH and BONES.

is why Mary did not know who he was in the Garden

John 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not: for I am not yet ascended to my Father: BUT GO TO MY BRETHREN, AND SAY UNTO THEM, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father and to my God.
First there has to be a witness here on earth to confirm that Jesus has just risen from the dead.
That witness was Mary.
Secondly, Jesus told her to tell the brethren that he was ascending to his Father.
So no secret that he has risen.
Thirdly, Mary was not allowed to touch him, for obviously, the Father must be first.Quote He told her I have NOT ascended.
He told them TOUCH me, a Spirit does not have FLESH and BONES.
What does this tell us?
That after Christ spoke with Mary, and told the others he was ascending to his Father, that he really did just that. He was back by evening, and met with the apostles. He just appeared out of nowhere, (He appeared in the midst of them) he did not come through the door.
When Jesus met Thomas, that was eight days later, as Thomas was not there on that day he returned…the same day.Jesus rose from the dead,
appeared to Mary,
Ascended to his Father,
and was back by evening time.
He walked & conversed along the road with two men who did not recognise him,
they invited him to stay with them at the end of the journey for it was getting late,
he accepted,
then appeared to the apostles.
ALL IN A DAYS WORK.
Even Christians do not understand this,
they have it all mixed up
but I have the scriptures to prove it.
The same scriptures they have,
but they cannot see it, or make that connection.November 24, 2012 at 2:50 am#321634bodhithartaParticipantQuote (journey42 @ Nov. 21 2012,10:58) BD Quote The fact is the bible doesn't say that Jesus materialized or appeared out of nowhere Quote if anything it suggests that after the “crucifixion” when everyone of his disciples were afraid for their lives that he alsowanted to be undetected

Hi Wakeup, No, that's our Job.“But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom,
and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.” (Dan 7:18)“The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our LORD,
and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.” (Rev 11:15)God bless

BodithartaThat was all included in the first time. Jesus Christ did not appear to everyone after his death and resurrection the first time.
Our testimony is that Jesus died and was raised on the third day. He came to give light (truth) even though he ascended to his Father and was back that same day, it is not counted as the 2nd coming. For at the 2nd coming he will come with judgement. He will gather all that is his… and every eye shall see him.

BodhithartaActually, the scriptures don't state “second coming”. It's just a term we use to state and acknowledge that Christ already came the first time as prophesied and fulfilled.
The Jews are still waiting on their Messiah and never accepted that he already came and that they killed him.
But we know he will return. And the scriptures relate this event to “his or the “coming” and we know the difference.James 5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
James 5:8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.
2 Thessalonians 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
What ED is talking about ,is that that day has already occurred. To him everything is hunky dory now, and Christ and his saints are ruling now already. But we say no, not yet. Christ will take his throne when all the 7 trumpets have blown (in rev).
There is not peace yet, and Christ being the Prince of Peace, will restore all things for everyone to see.November 28, 2012 at 6:38 am#322405bodhithartaParticipantQuote (journey42 @ Nov. 27 2012,09:31) bodhitharta,Nov. wrote:[/quote]
