Hi BD,
The Son of God is not God.
April 15, 2015 at 6:51 pm#794178NickHassanParticipantHi BD,
The Word was made flesh.
The Word was with God and was God.
Do you know the Word and do you know his voice?
April 15, 2015 at 9:00 pm#794187Ed JParticipantEach one is confident in their own interpretation but the fact is, it is so open to interpretation I would have to consider that to be intentional as it has captured the hearts and minds of almost 2 billion people and has helped get rid of or absorb most forms of paganism and idol worship but to the extent it accomplished that wonderful thing it has also become(albeit in a better form) a hodgepodge of beliefs in and of itself.n
….islam came from pagan sources
….(watch at least until 21:45)April 15, 2015 at 9:06 pm#794188Ed JParticipantFor instance you cannot come up with a trinity in Islam because the Quran simply says don’t do it as well as tells you to not join partners with God.
Muhammad didn’t even know what the trinitarians believe.
Father, Son, and HolySpirit
not
‘al-Lah’, his consort, and their baby boyThe quran is full of errors
April 15, 2015 at 9:10 pm#794189Ed JParticipantthe three daughters of allah … (Link)
It is an undeniable fact of history that before Muhammed was born, the moon god “al-Ilah” (Allah) had three daughters named al-Lat, al-Uzza and Manat. The first two were even named after their father. Each daughter had a separate shrine near Mecca, where Allah’s shrine was located.
April 15, 2015 at 9:34 pm#794190NickHassanParticipantHi BD,
You cannot see the light can you.
So steeped in darkness you have become blind to light.
The problem is that being so cocksure in your conceit you are walking away from the light.
“Not that way. Walk here”
April 15, 2015 at 9:47 pm#794195Ed JParticipantThere are several verses about being beheaded in the Bible as I said it is very ambiguous.
Here is one of them and is not at all ambiguous, it is about muslims beheading Christians
for using the bible (the word of God) and speaking about Christ (the witness of Jesus) in islamic countries.“and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God” (Rev 20:4)
this is clearly about islam’s command to fight Christians and Jews (sura 9,29-30); don’t you agree BD?
April 16, 2015 at 3:15 am#794215bodhithartaParticipantHi Nick
Hi BD,
The Son of God is not God.
Once again if I was defending the trinity and using your method of using scripture, I would where is the scripture that says the son of God is not God because I can show you a scripture where the son of God “is” being called God.
Hebrews 1:8
But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Now please show me a scripture that says the son of God is not God nick
Hi BD,
The Word was made flesh.
The Word was with God and was God.
Do you know the Word and do you know his voice?
If the word was God then God was made flesh so that means Jesus is God
That furthers credible reason to believe in the trinity, you see how this works.
April 16, 2015 at 4:29 am#794217bodhithartaParticipantHi EDJ
I watched the video but I don’t think you watched the video because you were incorrect
Muhammad didn’t even know what the trinitarians believe.
Father, Son, and HolySpirit
not
‘al-Lah’, his consort, and their baby boyThe quran is full of errors
The Quran doesn’t just attack the trinity it attacks all forms partnerships with God and you have tried hard to find errors but each time I show you the facts you run away and forget what you have been shown and then reassert what you know not to be true at a later time and that is one of the issues about Christianity being hopelessly confused because there is no limitations set whereas something can be determined to logically or spiritually move forward in a discussion.
the three daughters of allah … (Link)
It is an undeniable fact of history that before Muhammed was born, the moon god “al-Ilah” (Allah) had three daughters named al-Lat, al-Uzza and Manat. The first two were even named after their father. Each daughter had a separate shrine near Mecca, where Allah’s shrine was located.
For instance when you make a claim such as this and I show you in the Quran:
Yet they make the Jinns equals with Allah, though Allah did create the Jinns; and they falsely, having no knowledge, attribute to Him sons and daughters. Praise and glory be to Him! (for He is) above what they attribute to Him!
( سورة الأنعام , Al-Anaam, Chapter #6, Verse #100)
Now, any honest person who wants to be a good Christian would easily be able to say, “you are right the Quran does dispel this directly and more than once
19Have ye seen Lat. and ‘Uzza,
20And another, the third (goddess), Manat?
21What! for you the male sex, and for Him, the female?
22Behold, such would be indeed a division most unfair!
23These are nothing but names which ye have devised,- ye and your fathers,- for which Allah has sent down no authority (whatever). They follow nothing but conjecture and what their own souls desire!- Even though there has already come to them Guidance from their Lord!
So once again you have found it to be untrue, so will you then randomly keep bringing up what you know to be false? Is this what Jesus taught? NO….but people who behave this way keeps Christianity hopelessly confused.
What’s worse is you will allow each other to say all sorts of things without any correction, if you are seen by your fellow Christians doing this sort of thing they should reprove you
April 16, 2015 at 6:26 pm#794349MiiaParticipantMaybe scripture is not meant to be read like a book from beginning to end or book by book. Rather the spirit leads to read here a little there a little as God answers questions or speaks through words hidden within larger paragraphs. Might sound weird, but that’s how I began.
April 16, 2015 at 7:20 pm#794353NickHassanParticipantHi BD,
Scripture calls men gods. Jesus told us so.
But they are not his or our God.
He told us he is the Son of God but you do not believe him.
April 16, 2015 at 7:23 pm#794354NickHassanParticipantHi BD,
You told us you love Jesus, he is not a liar and you believe in the Christ.
But really you don’t, do you.
How can two walk together unless they agree?
April 16, 2015 at 7:26 pm#794355NickHassanParticipantHi BD,
If you are in Christ you have been beheaded.
He is the head of the Body.
April 16, 2015 at 7:30 pm#794356NickHassanParticipantHi BD
“If the word was God then God was made flesh so that means Jesus is God”
Nonsense.
You might have a valid point if Scripture said IS rather than WAS.
But Jesus did not exist till his conception and did not become the Word till anointed from above.
God is Spirit.
The Word is SPIRIT.
The Word was with God and was God
April 16, 2015 at 7:32 pm#794357NickHassanParticipantHi BD,
It is your food to seek for possible contradiction and confusion.
Your master wants you to sow doubt, so you do.
April 17, 2015 at 7:00 am#794394bodhithartaParticipantHI Nick
I know that Jesus isn’t God but the point I make is that when others see these versus you should easily understand how they come up with those conclusions. There is a lot to grab onto for all types of various beliefs, you would do yourself and us all a favor by simply admitting the obvious which is the bible is very ambiguous….from there and with that understanding you can have a better discourse/dialogue with someone
April 17, 2015 at 7:05 am#794396NickHassanParticipantHi BD,
The bible is only ambiguous to those unfamiliar with the ways of the Spirit.
1Cor 2.20
Where is the wise man? Where are the scribes? Where is the debater of the world?
For has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?
April 17, 2015 at 7:06 am#794397NickHassanParticipantHi BD,
Discourse among men compares unfavourably with discourse with God and His Son.
True wisdom can take you there.
April 17, 2015 at 9:15 am#794413bodhithartaParticipantHI Nick
In your hopeless confusion you Judge, you say that Jesus is your master yet you don’t do what he says
Matthew 7:1
Judge not, that ye be not judged. Why do you not obey your master, he says that if you do not obey him you are not his disciple, are you excepted from what he teaches you?
Luke 6:37
And judge not, and ye shall not be judged: and condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: release, and ye shall be released:Yet you and people like EDJ keep condemning and with the other side of your mouth you keep saying you love Jesus your actions say otherwise can you not spread your message or discuss your view without condemnation?
John 8:15
Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man.You are not a very obedient servant but your in good company because many many Christians are filled with condemnation and Judgement even though Jesus says DON’t DO IT, this is why Christianity is Hopelessly mired in Confusion, you don’t Follow Jesus you simply confess Jesus as Lord….saying “lord, Lord” but he is going to spit out of his mouth all those hypocrites who proclaim his name but ignore his words….Jesus didn’t say judge a little here and there he said DON’T do it but you ignore Jesus like one of those wild dogs on a leash that is completely out of control because there passion rules them so they ignore their masters plea
April 17, 2015 at 9:27 am#794415NickHassanParticipanthi BD,
“You have no part or portion in this matter, for your heart is not right with God. Therefore repent of this wickedness of yours, and pray the Lord that , if possible, the intention of your heart may be forgiven you”
Peter said this in acts 8
“Behold I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be as shrewd as serpents and innocent as doves.”
Jesus said this in Mt 10
Your intentions are obvious and destructive.
