You have to explain to us in what situation that scripture fit in. That scripture speaks of a certain situation.

Col 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

Jn 21:24 This is the disciple who testifies to these things and who wrote them down. We know that his testimony is true.

in the above scriptures we can see that it is God that listen to Jesus words not the other way around ,

but was is important is this of what he says ;that they may believe that you sent me.
