Quote (chosenone @ June 04 2009,01:16) Quote (WorshippingJesus @ June 04 2009,10:33) Quote (Nick Hassan @ June 03 2009,15:29) Hi CO,
Who are you quoting here?
DETAILS OF THE NEW BIRTHThe new birth is crystallized in the familiar words: “you must be born anew” (John 3:7). Our elaboration of it must be sought either in the words of the Lord Jesus, of those who heard Him, or in the Hebrew revelation. It was a matter which Nicodemus ought to have known and taught in Israel, for the prophets had much to say regarding it. Actually, it is the new covenant stated in a few words. What the new covenant brings to Israel is the measure of the significance of the new birth.
A detail of the words “you must be born anew,” which is usually ignored, is that the word “you” is plural. This is not the only case where the plural pronoun is of importance in guiding understanding. The plural speaks of the nation of Israel and not of individuals. An example is seen in Matthew 5:14, “You are the light of the world.” So also the words of John 3:7 indicate that it is Israel’s sons as a whole, as a nation, which must be born anew. The prophet Isaiah speaks of a nation born at one time (Isa.66:8). “The rebirth from above is an ongoing promise to all whom Gpd calls.
Acts 2.39
Hi NHGood ear. Obviously it is more plagiarism. Why can’t people be honest without pasting someone else’s material and putting it off as their own?

I have quoted from the “Concordant Publishing Concern” many times in the past, and have usually included that I copied it from there. This time I neglected to do so, I didn't think it all that important. It expresses my viewpoint better than I could put it in my own words. Your comments accusing me of 'plagiarism' is uncalled for. I'm not using someone elses 'material' as my own, Their explanation on this subject expresses my opinion better than I could using my own words. In future I will continue to use others opinions if they reflect mine as well, only I will make sure to quote the source, to satisfy critics such as you.Blessings.
HI COThen you should at least quote your source or at least admit that it is not your own words.
Dont you think that those who spent the time writing their material deserve to get credit for it?

CO,
It's not about giving credit to silence “critics”. It is in the rules of this forum. And you will not create suspicion when you indicate sources.blessings,

If you have read my previous explanation, you would see that I usually post my sources if used. That I neglected to do in my last post was an error, and I admitted that. I used an 'explanation' from the Concordant Publishing Concern that paralleled my feeling exactly. If one chooses to agree with an opinion of another, and feels that explanation is worded better than one could do himself. I don't concider that “plagiarism” which is in fact stealing someones research or literature. What I did was not such, but an agreement of someones opinion. I certainly will always endevour to quote my source if used, even if I feel it is unnessary, to satisfy those like you.Blessings.
