Our God is exactly that “All Powerful” isn’t it karmarie
Bd, our God is all powerful in our lives when we love with our heart mind and soul the son, Jesus. I went so far away from Jesus. When we love the son and know him we love the Father.
April 14, 2015 at 1:02 pm#794007bodhithartaParticipantWhen did you go far from Jesus? You seem to always have been there
April 14, 2015 at 5:25 pm#794039MiiaParticipantHi Bd, looks can be deceiving. I was fine on here at first and was really close to Jesus, but then I got lost….. It’s good to feel back. Good to know how to pray again, good to feel something again.
April 14, 2015 at 6:04 pm#794045bodhithartaParticipantWell Praise God for that!
April 15, 2015 at 9:36 am#794103MiiaParticipantthanks Bd 🙂
April 15, 2015 at 9:42 am#794105NickHassanParticipantHi BD,
If being close to Jesus seems good to you why did you reject him for your new master?
April 15, 2015 at 2:38 pm#794144bodhithartaParticipantHi Nick
Hi BD,
If being close to Jesus seems good to you why did you reject him for your new master?
If you knew Jesus you would praise God that Miia has drawn closer to him as that is her lifeline and love of God. You keep preaching Jesus but you miss so much. I have always loved the heart of Karmarie:
Matthew 5:8King James Version (KJV)
8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
A person like this can be a trinitarian, a Muslim, a pentecostal, a Catholic, a Buddhist, a hindu…etc. but most do not know or understand.
Luke 9:50 “Do not stop him,” Jesus said, “for whoever is not against you is for you.”
I am for you all
April 15, 2015 at 2:39 pm#794145bodhithartaParticipantMark 9:38-41King James Version (KJV)
38 And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.
39 But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.
40 For he that is not against us is on our part.
41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.
April 15, 2015 at 2:48 pm#794146NickHassanParticipantHi BD,
How can a man claim to be pure of heart if he opposes God and His teachings?
April 15, 2015 at 3:00 pm#794151NickHassanParticipanthi BD,
So your opinion is all that folk need.
Your overview of faith allows you even to judge God?
April 15, 2015 at 3:02 pm#794153NickHassanParticipantHi BD
“I am for you all”
We would prefer if you were for our God and His Son and His teachings.
Otherwise they are just more empty words
April 15, 2015 at 4:04 pm#794161NickHassanParticipantHi BD,
Jn 15.13
Greater love has no one than this, that one lay own his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you
April 15, 2015 at 4:08 pm#794162NickHassanParticipantHi BD,
Jn10.11f
“I am the good shepherd;the good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep……For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life so that I may take it up again. No one has taken it away from me but I lay it down on my own initiative”
April 15, 2015 at 4:48 pm#794163kerwinParticipantBd,
I often used the one “blessed are they that hunger and thirst for righteousness for the they shall be filled” because it tells me that it is not hopeless to strive to become righteous as God is righteous. There is only one way you can accomplish it and that is through faith in Jesus Christ.
April 15, 2015 at 5:19 pm#794166NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Be ye PERFECT as your heavenly Father is perfect”
Only possible if one is LED BY the Spirit of God

According to islam: muslims are not allowed to be friends with Christians and Jews;
they are instead commanded to fight them, to force them to the narrowest side
of the road and to humiliate them and make them feel subdued.religion of God?
hardly!April 16, 2015 at 4:38 am#794218kerwinParticipantEd J,

It is an OT teaching and so it is also a Jewish and Christian teaching as well. I do not know any Jews or Christians that practice it. Peter’s dream before he spread the gospel to the house of Cornelius addressed it.
I do not know if it is taught in Islam as well.
April 16, 2015 at 5:09 am#794219kerwinParticipantBodhitharta,
According to scripture Innocent is Innocent there is never any mention of “truly” innocent but the Bible clearly says
That is why I said totally innocent. It makes a difference because the wages is death and therefore anyone who falls short of the glory of God has earned the wages of death. Jesus did not deserve the wage because he did not sin though tempted as is common to his fellow human beings.
Muslim and Christians agree that this world of sin will be condemned so that a new world will come to be.
Yet, you are taught to believe that God planned the shedding of innocent blood from the beginning, even moreso as a gift
Anything that happens, happens because God allows it in his plan. The evil treatment of the Hebrew people by the Egyptian people happened as according to God’s plan, the disasters that poured on Job happened as part of God’s plan, and any other evil thing done by the evil one or his servants has been part of God’s plan to rescue those that can be rescued from this world of sin.
Without looking, I am sure that there are teachers of Islam, that teach much the same thing about “why evil things happen to good people” as it is about the all powerful and all knowing nature of God.
God did not sacrifice Jesus as God is not a priest but instead is served by priests.
Jesus sacrificed himself, which is why he is called the high priest in the order of Melchizedek. His self sacrifice is an act of mercy as by it he kills the enemies of God and rescues God’s people from their sins.
Islam also teaches of self sacrifice in the name of God.

Just as in everyday life there are some people to avoid being friends with and there are others where friendship is very welcome. In real life for instance I could not be your friend because you make mockery of my religion:
O ye who believe! take not for friends and protectors those who take your religion for a mockery or sport,- whether among those who received the Scripture before you, or among those who reject Faith; but fear ye Allah, if ye have faith (indeed).
Someone like Miia is already my friend because of her nature:
Of course Muslims can be friends with Christians or Jews it is 100% allowed to Marry them and your wife is usually your best friend:
This day are (all) things good and pure made lawful unto you. The food of the People of the Book is lawful unto you and yours is lawful unto them. (Lawful unto you in marriage) are (not only) chaste women who are believers, but chaste women among the People of the Book, revealed before your time,- when ye give them their due dowers, and desire chastity, not lewdness, nor secret intrigues if any one rejects faith, fruitless is his work, and in the Hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who have lost (all spiritual good).
( سورة المائدة , Al-Maeda, Chapter #5, Verse #5)
“Not all of them are alike: Of the People of the Book [Jews and Christians] are a portion that stand (For the right): They rehearse the Signs of God all night long, and they prostrate themselves in adoration. They believe in God and the Last Day; they enjoin what is right, and forbid what is wrong; and they hasten (in emulation) in (all) good works: They are in the ranks of the righteous. (The Noble Quran, 3:113-114)
A Muslim of course should not join your church or do things to undermine his religion
As I said it is the same advice we would have in everyday life so when I think of someone like Kerwin for example the verse comes to mind
Strongest among men in enmity to the believers wilt thou find the Jews and Pagans; and nearest among them in love to the believers wilt thou find those who say, “We are christians”: because amongst these are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant.
( سورة المائدة , Al-Maeda, Chapter #5, Verse #82)
That doesn’t apply just to Kerwin as I was simply using him as an example but there are a few here that are not arrogant and are men of learning.
But of course those who insult you and mock you and refuse to admit or correct known errors….would you be friends with a person like that in real everyday life?
