The water of baptism
Read acts.
Heb10 19f
“Since then brothers we have confidence to enter the holy place by the BLOOD of Jesus…having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water”
nickthat verse does not talk about the ceremonial water baptism it is an other thing ,what you think it is
Hi J,
CEREMONIAL?
Faith requires it and it is a WITNESS.[1Jn5]
Nfaith requires two thing ;one is believing in God and the one he has send Jesus Christ and then produce the fruits and deeds of that faith;
the two witnesses are ;one the Angels, and your fellow men that can testify that you are a Christian believer all as per the scriptures,
Mt 7:15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.
Mt 7:16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?
Mt 7:17 Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
Mt 7:18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.
Mt 7:19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
Mt 7:20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
Mt 7:21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
Mt 7:22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’
Mt 7:23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’Tit 1:16 They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.
Heb 10:38 But my righteous one will live by faith.
And if he shrinks back,
I will not be pleased with him.”Heb 8:12 For I will forgive their wickedness
and will remember their sins no more.”
Heb 10:16 “This is the covenant I will make with them
after that time, says the Lord.
I will put my laws in their hearts,
and I will write them on their minds.”
Heb 10:17 Then he adds:
“Their sins and lawless acts
I will remember no more.”the writhing in our mind and heart is done if we ask for ,but if you ask for and you do not keep your word you will be declared a liar,AND NO LIARS ARE ENTERING GODS KINGDOM.
