Once baptized as a babe in the Catholic Church, there is no further need of salvation. For salvation comes at the baptism when one is baptized as a child into the Church if I am not mistaken.
I am not positive, but I believe this is how it is done. Instead of waiting until the age of accountability, a child is baptized into the church and this is accepted as the salvation of the soul of that child.

But because there are 1 billion or more Catholics, it seems that their doctrine is main stream. But using scripture as the template, they certainly are very strange. Their set up, beliefs, and conduct ranges from dodgy to deplorable. But the true test is scripture. Scripture doesn't agree with many of their foundational doctrines.

Hi,
All you have to do in a cult such as catholicism, is to follow men, trusting your eternal salvation to them and many, many people do this. They could be taught black was white and they would accept it as true. They rashly risk all on this deception failing to learn that we must all drink the water of life from our own cistern given to us in Christ, not that of those blind men who never know their thirst.

The situation children find themselves in is according to the decisions of their parents.
