    Hi,
CA has brought up this man who needs a closer look.

Personally I think we should follow Jesus of Nazareth

    Let start with this:

Augustine in his Retractions speaking about Matthew 16:18 and the “rock” in which the Church will be built upon:

“In a passage in this book, I said about the Apostle Peter: ‘On him as on a rock the Church was built’…But I know that very frequently at a later time, I so explained what the Lord said: ‘Thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church,’ that it be understood as built upon Him whom Peter confessed saying: ‘Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God,’ and so Peter, called after this rock, represented the person of the Church which is built upon this rock, and has received ‘the keys of the kingdom of heaven.’ For, ‘Thou art Peter’ and not ‘Thou art the rock’ was said to him. But ‘the rock was Christ,’ in confessing whom, as also the whole Church confesses, Simon was called Peter. But let the reader decide which of these two opinions is the more probable.”

    Hi KW,
I see from a reference you gave that you are reading Augustine.

    Nick,

I read part of an argument he made that was fairly much the same as mine about the resurrected body. We both came up with it independently and his was centuries before mine. That much I agree with him on. I also agree with you when I discern you are correct.

    Hi KW,
Do we ask theologians or seek the Spirit?

every theologians is a searcher for the knowledge of God's spirit knowledge given to men ,their works can profit us if they have not been influenced by religion bias ,just like today ,some on this forum

    Nick,

You are a theologian as was Paul.

    Hi KW,
Did Paul not manifest the teachings of the Spirit of God?

    Nick,

Paul studied “God and God's relation to the world” as do you though you are are probably considered an amateur by some.

    Hi KW,
So Paul's teachings were his own and his tranformation on the road to Damascus was a myth?
Do you prefer to ascribe to men what is of God

    Nick,

I saw nothing in my post that stated Paul's writings were of his own so you are reading more into it than I wrote.

The question you should consider is”

How did Paul study “God and God's relation to the world”?

The two possible answers are one that his studies were based on the principle of men or two that his studies were based on godly principles. The answer I believe is true is the last one.

    Nick,

Yes, but he had to ask, seek, and knock first.

    Nick,

So were the Twelve but Jesus taught them and other of his students to ask, seek, and knock.

    Hi KW,
Are any of the words of Paul of man?

Glad to be called an amateur as 'experts' often are not so in God's eyes.

    Nick,

I believe he has stated in his letters that some things are his opinions but even then we must remember that he has the Spirit that led him in all things.
