Quote (Ed J @ Feb. 03 2013,19:05) Please do answer your own question then… HOW are the 10 commandments APPLIED NOW?
Romans
19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

Simple.
Lusting after a woman who is married to another or who is divorced even but single, is a sin. Communicating with the woman and secretly lusting after her in the mind and in the heart is a sin.How many people have lusted and then divorced and then remarried the one they lusted after. That is why even marrying a divorced woman is committing adultery.
According to scripture.

February 3, 2013 at 10:22 am#3311072beseeParticipantQuote (journey42 @ Feb. 03 2013,21:28) Hi 2Besse If you are going to ask me questions, then I am going to give you my truthful honest opinions. I don't want want a full on debate about the SDA.
Quote (2besee @ Feb. 02 2013,19:02) Do you personally know any Adventists? Quote Yes, I have in the past. Quote (2besee @ Feb. 02 2013,19:02) Do you know that they obey Gods commandments and have the faith of Jesus and the spirit of prophecy? Quote No they don't have the spirit of prophecy. There are many errors. Quote Woe.
Careful.
First you say that they are of the occult, now this.
Their leaders are into the occult. The high up ones. They have staged the whole show and deceived the followers. They have not fed them Christ's flesh, but a different flesh. You should do some research yourself.
You have esteemed them very highly, and considering only God can see straight into the heart, we should observe this commandment from Christ.Matthew 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
Proverbs 27:14 He that blesseth his friend with a loud voice, rising early in the morning, it shall be counted a curse to him.
You take it on yourself to judge them all righteous. That's not given to you to make this judgement You are not made perfect yet, and cannot see inside the hearts of the whole congregation. I have done this myself, and it is not right. We don't know what people do behind closed doors. We can only judge from the outside. That SDA person I knew, I thought he was wonderful, until it was exposed that he was having an affair behind his wife's back. But that is only one person. I cannot say they all do that, but a lesson nevertheless. I used to also sing my friends praises, thought my girlfriends were wonderful. Would tell everyone they were good people, but found out what they were doing behind closed doors.
And Christ didn't even like men to call him good? I can't figure that one out, but I understand, don't praise men, (Christ was still flesh then) but praise the almighty Father who Christ draws us to. We know that he is true, and we know now that Christ is now raised perfect, and the Father has told us to give him glory. Christ past the test all the way till the end. Didn't want praise before he accomplished what he had to do. Same with us. Win the race first then get the prize.
I am sure there are a lot of SDA people who are genuine, and have good hearts, but they are taught error when it comes to the scriptures, and they are being led to a complete spiritual death when the mark comes. This is a worry for them. However good their intentions are, they are not listening to God's prophets, but the prophets of men. Self appointed prophets who start these religions. In New York of all places. Mind boggling. They are making big money too. They have health care systems, and are really involved with the world. They endorse the microchip to be inserted into the hand. This is a BIG WARNING SIGN.
Quote (2besee @ Feb. 02 2013,19:02) Do you know their history? Quote Yes they have William Miller from New York who started the church in the early 1800's. He predicted Christ's return in 1843-1844. So first error here. They also have Ellen White and what I have searched about her, is not to her credit. Quote “What you have searched out about her”? Too much to mention. Heres one example from this website on Ellen G White. This is all written documentation.
(http://www.biblebelievers.com/SDA/SDA1.html#1-a)5. JESUS’ BROTHERS WERE OLDER THAN HE AND THEY WERE THE SONS OF JOSEPH AND SIDED WITH THE RABBIS.
EGW — YES: “All this displeased His brothers. Being older than Jesus, they felt that He should be under their dictation. His brothers, as the sons of Joseph were called, sided with the rabbis. They insisted that the traditions must be heeded, as if they were the requirements of God.” (Desire of Ages, p.86,87).
Note: Not Biblical. EGW adds to the Bible the same way that Joseph Smith does in the Book of Mormon. How can Adventists claim that the Bible is the source of their faith and accept this as the truth, and do it with a straight face? The Bible clearly states that Jesus was the firstborn of Mary. (And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.) How can the firstborn have older brothers? (Matthew 1:25; Luke 2:7).
WOULD YOU FIND THIS PROPHET RELIABLE?
6. WAS THE TOWER OF BABEL BUILT BEFORE THE FLOOD?
EGW — YES: “This system was corrupted before the flood by those who separated themselves from the faithful followers of God, and engaged in the building of the tower of Babel.” (Spiritual Gifts, Vol. 3, p.301).
BIBLE — NO: “These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood. And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.” (Gen 10:32;11:4).
NOTE: This was one of the first EGW contradictions that SDA’s found and corrected. They claimed it was just a typographical error, forgetting that EGW claimed every word she wrote came from God! (Spiritual Gifts, Vol. 2, p.293).
WOULD YOU TRUST THIS PROPHET?12. WHO BEARS OUR SINS?
EGW — SATAN: “It was seen, also, that while the sin offering pointed to Christ as a sacrifice, and the high priest represented Christ as a mediator, the scapegoat typified Satan, the author of sin, upon whom the sins of the truly penitent will finally be placed. Christ will place all these sins upon Satan, … so Satan, …will at last suffer the full penalty of sin.” (Great Controversy, p.422,485,486).
BIBLE — JESUS
: “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.” (1 Pet 2:24).
WOULD YOU TRUST THIS PROPHET WITH YOUR LIFE?14. CAN IGNORANT SLAVES BE SAVED?
EGW — NO: “God cannot take to heaven the slave who has been kept in ignorance and degradation, knowing nothing of God or the Bible, fearing nothing but his master's lash, and holding a lower position than the brutes.” (Early Writings, p.276).
BIBLE — YES: “That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.” (John 1:9).
There's errors here. A prophet of God should not speak error.
You are alone in your judgments Journey.
Among them and among ALL Churches and every individual, in every street and in every corner, there are begotten sons and daughters of God.
A number too great for any MAN to NUMBER.
The SDA's have my respect because I know that they teach the commandments of God and that they love Jesus. Their fruits are good.

Hi 2besee,I'm well aware of this scripture thanks bro, but don't neglect the willingly sin part, that's important.
But what you are probably unaware of is that THAT scripture you gave is exactly why only the 144k know the whole truth.
Remember I said these are the only ones out of all of Christianity alive at the last days who will know the whole truth, well maybe not to you, but we've all said it…well thank Gods great wisdom to know NOT to teach the whole unadulterated truth to the 2 billion odd Christians…otherwise they'd all be doomed coz they're NOT STRONG ENOUGH to stay on the path without stumbling…Christ's sacrifice would be trampled over & over…and 2 billion Christians would be toast!!
That is WHY Christianity is FLOODED with contamination…
For their own sakes.
Here is a mystery just divulged…Praise The Lord.Link that with this scripture:
Luke 9:62>And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
Think of how many Christians fall away from God and then years later come back to Him.
It's only because those Christians never tasted of the pure truth that they can be forgiven…they have truth, but only parts of it, thus their ignorance is a provided grace from on high.
Again, done for their own good.I'm generalising of course, otherwise I'd have to write an essay.
Cheers.

Hi 2besee,Quote If you are in an adulterous relationship, it is not enough to confess your sins and then continue on with it. You have to STOP. A man full of the Spirit would never do such a thing.
Nevertheless, agreed, of course, one has to stop & repent & never do such a thing ever again.Quote As Jesus said, even lusting after another man's wife is the same thing as actually doing it. THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE. as Jesus said. Because it is a form of covetousness which is idolatry.
Quote Even marrying a divorced woman is a sin. Depends on circumstances.
If the husband commits adultery then the wife is free to marry again…BUT ONLY IN THE LORD…meaning, she is permitted to marry a believer only.Quote The law became harder not easier, but we have an advocate, Jesus Christ.
