Hi Kenrch,
I agree
“Isaiah 11:8
And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den.”March 1, 2007 at 9:04 pm#43369DebraParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ Mar. 01 2007,18:27) Hi,
We are told to preach the gospel to all creation-that includes animals.
The story of the donkey being used of God fascinates me.Num 22
” 21And Balaam rose up in the morning, and saddled his ass, and went with the princes of Moab.22And God's anger was kindled because he went: and the angel of the LORD stood in the way for an adversary against him. Now he was riding upon his ass, and his two servants were with him.
23And the ass saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and the ass turned aside out of the way, and went into the field: and Balaam smote the ass, to turn her into the way.
24But the angel of the LORD stood in a path of the vineyards, a wall being on this side, and a wall on that side.
25And when the ass saw the angel of the LORD, she thrust herself unto the wall, and crushed Balaam's foot against the wall: and he smote her again.
26And the angel of the LORD went further, and stood in a narrow place, where was no way to turn either to the right hand or to the left.
27And when the ass saw the angel of the LORD, she fell down under Balaam: and Balaam's anger was kindled, and he smote the ass with a staff.
28And the LORD opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times?
29And Balaam said unto the ass, Because thou hast mocked me: I would there were a sword in mine hand, for now would I kill thee.
30And the ass said unto Balaam, Am not I thine ass, upon which thou hast ridden ever since I was thine unto this day? was I ever wont to do so unto thee? and he said, Nay.
31Then the LORD opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face.
32And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Wherefore hast thou smitten thine ass these three times? behold, I went out to withstand thee, because thy way is perverse before me:
33And the ass saw me, and turned from me these three times: unless she had turned from me, surely now also I had slain thee, and saved her alive.
34And Balaam said unto the angel of the LORD, I have sinned; for I knew not that thou stoodest in the way against me: now therefore, if it displease thee, I will get me back again.
35And the angel of the LORD said unto Balaam, Go with the men: but only the word that I shall speak unto thee, that thou shalt speak. So Balaam went with the princes of Balak. “
The ass revealed self awareness, awareness of good behaviours, knowledge of the master he served and memory. Do all animals possess these things but are unable to communicate them except by the assistance of God?
Hi Nick
There are often stories in the news where animals have saved their their human families from danger, possible death.I think God still uses them as He used Balaam's Ass. Animals definatly sense danger before we do.
It was 3am and I woke to the sound of my dog wimpering, he was trying to get outside, I couldn't hear anything, it was a still night, but because of his behaviour I let him out and went with him with the torch in hand, he took off up onto the road barking, still I couldn't hear or see anything so called him back and went back to bed. He persisted in his restlessness so I again went outside with him, as I walking up the driveway I heard the sound of my car starting up and saw a man in the drivers seat, my little dog let out a bark I hadn't heard from him before he sounded like a big dog, growling and dangerous. With that the man jumped out of my car and ran down the road. Did God give a little dog a big bark do you think?March 1, 2007 at 9:12 pm#43372kenrchParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ Mar. 01 2007,21:02) Hi Kenrch,

THAT'S IT NICK THANKS!June 19, 2007 at 3:17 pm#55882acertainchapParticipantI think that God didn't put a verse into the Bible about this question because he wants us to trust him, and trust that he will meet our needs in the end.

ROMANS 8:19-21 “the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God, because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.”
(KJV).LUKE 3:6 And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.'” (NKJ)
ACTS 3:21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. (KJV)
REV. 21:5 And He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And He said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. (KJV)
ECCLESIASTES 3:18 I said in my heart, “Concerning the condition of the sons of men, God tests them, that they may see that they themselves are like animals”. (NKJ)
ECCLESIASTES 3:19-20 Man's fate is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both: As one dies, so dies the other. All have the same breath, man has no advantage over the animal. Everything is meaningless. All go to the same place; all come from dust and to dust all return. (NIV)
LUKE 3:6 “all flesh shall see the salvation of God.” (KJV)
PSALM 36:6 Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your judgments are like the great deep; you save humans and animals alike, O LORD. (NRS)
GENESIS 1:30 and to every animal of the earth, and to every fowl of the heavens, and to everything that creepeth on the earth, in which is a living soul, every green herb for food. And it was so. (DBY)

Gen 2:18 And Jehovah God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him.
Hi kenrch. Two questions. First, which Bible do you use? Just wondering? Secondly, what is a “help meet,” because you mention this twice.
If it's a mistake, it's funny, because you say that God made animals a help “meet” for Adam. If it's not a mistake, I wonder what a help meet is? A helper? And how does “meet” picture into it?
Boy this is going back but I think it deserves an answer.I use “mostly” the KJ and never the NWT
The reason why I used “meet” is because that's the way it's written.
Gen 2:18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
Does this answer your questions, David?
IHL,
Ken
