Quote (Nick Hassan @ Jan. 24 2008,17:50) Hi KJ,
Jesus quoted the bible as if it was irrefutable truth.
Would you disagree?
Preachers quote it as irrefutable truth. Jesus never said it was. Show me where he did.January 25, 2008 at 12:55 am#80071kejonnParticipantQuote (Not3in1 @ Jan. 24 2008,17:52) Have you ever wondered why Jesus didn't tell his disciples to write what he taught for later generations? Jesus obviously appreciated the OT and he knew his mission was part of the plan……God wrote the 10 Commandments…..why didn't Jesus leave any writings behind?
Most of his disciples expected him to return in their generation.January 25, 2008 at 12:56 am#80072kejonnParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ Jan. 24 2008,18:33) Hi not3,
He left men anointed with his Spirit to write for him, reminding them of every word, every jot and tittle, that needed to be written.
Pure speculation.January 25, 2008 at 1:04 am#80075NickHassanParticipantHi KJ,

How many of your posts go beyond your own philosophy? Most of what you say has no basis in scripture.January 25, 2008 at 1:14 am#80079NickHassanParticipantHi KJ,
Really?January 25, 2008 at 1:26 am#80083kejonnParticipantAs far as I can tell. You rarely ever supply scripture to back up what you say. There is nothing in the bible that says that the men writing it were reminded of every jot and tittle. That is just you needing it to be so in your mind so you don't lose faith.

That explains why the disciples didn't write anything down, but it doesn't explain why Jesus didn't tell them to write anything down – does it?January 26, 2008 at 12:23 pm#80162TimothyVIParticipantQuote (Not3in1 @ Jan. 26 2008,19:43) Quote (kejonn @ Jan. 25 2008,11:55) Quote (Not3in1 @ Jan. 24 2008,17:52) Have you ever wondered why Jesus didn't tell his disciples to write what he taught for later generations? Exactly. Most of them were simple fishermen and other types of workers and the ability to write and read was not seen as a necessity.February 12, 2008 at 8:23 am#81226HeavensParticipantWhat a lovely apology.
It doesn't matter how much hurt he may have caused while he was here, it is nice to know that Stuart thought long and hard about his actions and has departed in a gracious way.
