A prophets reward

I just want to make learning fun.
I had read the passage many times, and not really concentrated on the meaning of a prophets reward. It was only a couple of weeks ago that Devo mentioned that verse, and I said “where is that written again” then went back and read it and the real meaning stood out for the first time, without Devo even explaining it to me. I mentioned it to wakeup and he understood it straight away, without me saying what I saw in that verse, and if you really want to hear something funny, I quizzed my husband who does not read the scriptures at all, and he guessed correctly.

So all of us got the same thing out of it. And it's exciting when we find solids in the milk. And if the holy spirit shows you, then you can't say you learn't it from me. I can only guide you to the scripture.

I can give you all the prophesies, however that would take days, or months.
Theres no direct scripture to give you the answer.  You have to use your understanding in all you know..then put it together.  

1 Corinthians 13:8   Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
1 Corinthians 13:9   For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
1 Corinthians 13:10   But WHEN THAT WHICH IS PERFECT IS COME, then that which is in part shall be DONE AWAY.

Can you understand these verses first before I go further?

Hi Wakeup,

That verse is referring to the spirit of Christ becoming complete in you,
where you no longer have to count on the partial truths of others, which fail.

Ephesians 4:13-14 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God,
unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth
be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine,
by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

Same time line for everyone who takes part in the first resurrection, at the 2nd Coming of Christ.
Christ brings his reward with him.  The reward is for us.
This is when our transformation happens, when we are raised or changed to spirit, and made perfect like Christ,
born again, into spirit at the first resurrection, at the coming.
and we won't need those gifts anymore, for we will inherit all and be made perfect, and we will see clearly.

Spiritual Gifts are for men.  Little rewards whilst we wait for our Lord to come and collect us.

But Paul says this to us
1 Corinthians 14:1   Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but RATHER that YE MAY PROPHESY.
1 Corinthians 14:3   But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.  

We all know that the prophets were until John.  Nobody can prophesy anything that is not already written.  Of all the gifts, charity is the one that will last forever, it will never cease,
so we must have charity in us, before we can receive any other gift,
and if we desire spiritual gifts, then Paul says rather ask for the gift of prophecy.

He who receives a righteous man, receives a righteous man's reward,
And he who receives a prophet, receives a prophets reward,
so he is speaking of now, whilst we are still in the flesh, for the spirit of prophesy will cease when we are made perfect (spirit) we will not need it, for we will know all things then.

So the prophets reward is talking about now, not later.
but what is it?

Why would you call this a carrot stick game?
These verses are very holy, and they are for all of us to understand. I was giving you a clue, and these verses are very strong.

You need to take some time to study Ed. You are all over the place on this forum, answering many posts at once. Slow down a little, take your time, may the holy spirit show you. If you get the answer, I will let you know.
