“A Hearts Cry”
Help us Jesus to overcome, weary soul, faint heart
and life undone.
We fall to our knees, praying only in tears,
to let you know Father, its too much from all the fears.
Father send Jesus, I'm begging you please,
to stop the violence, suffering and sickness I know you also see.
Jesus help us understand, this freedom in you,
By the Holy Spirits power, I believe your words are true.
Give us the knowledge, so that we may not perish,
and to know this great love, you died to give us.
While others may desire things, wealth and power,
I desire only your rest, and count the days, nights and hour.
Oh Lord my God, how will we ever know, that great love
that is You, until you show.
Show us heaven, the Kingdom within, and I'll live in peace, love and joy,
and I'll try my best not to sin.
Oh help us Father, we need you so bad, evil is all around
my eyes are so sad.
Can you see me? I'm hiding behind plywood in a cornor,
I can't think straight and I'm afraid,
I'm sure I need a heart donor.
Resue me from my enemies, I can't see them in the dark,
They have wounded me badly, can you see the marks.
I need your rest in your bosom, it's where I want to be,
safe and secure, your love will keep me.
Please tell me I can come home today,
I don't want to stay,
Please tell me my time is up, surely this is my day.
I want to be with Jesus in Heaven, that's where I long
to be,
In the arms of Jesus, that's all I can see.I wrote this poem when I was in my New Testament Survey class a few months ago. It speaks of how I felt when I was greiving with the Holy Spirit. My greiving and healing has taken over 4 years. I have been completely dependant on God. It was a long journey back to wholeness in Him. It is now my time of celebration and rejoicing in Him. By His stripes we are healed. The healing of my heart and soul didn't happen over night, it was a process we both had to go through. And I am so glad that I never gave up pursuing all that He has for me in Christ.
