He was counting 62wks + 7 wks = 69 wks.Then he uses his trick and slipped the 1 wk in there.
To total the 70 wks. Very cunning.

That is what Daniel 9:24-27 actually says – NO GAP!
Jesus' ministry fulfills the first half of the 70th week. He
is then crucified, and his Apostles fulfill the second half of it.

3½ years “IS” half of a 7 year Prophetic week. And
his Apostles fulfill the last half (3½ years) of the week.

I believe the historical accounts I heard were as follows…

Peter was crucified upside down.
Thomas was killed on an x shaped cross.
Phillip was supposedly dragged behind horses.

most of them died before the destruction of the temple by Titus in 70 AD

I know that Paul did a lot of traveling,and died in an old age; so the preachings went on for many years.

John of patmos received the revelation of God in his old age,he was still alive when the 7churches were in asia minor.

Yes, and the rest are said to have been martyred within 3½ years of Jesus' crucifixion.
