Hi all, here is a little test if anyone wants to give it a go, I won't highlight any words for clues but leave it how it stands and see if any are able to see what the Lord is saying…and if you can explain this, then we will then, by this, be lead to another subject linked to this one which will help confirm a certain interpretation hotly debated
Isaiah 27:1
In that day The Lord with his sore and great sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent, and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.Any takers?

Ed,I'm glad you are so confident, I really am…but I assure you, you are wrong.
This scripture isn't as clear cut as you think….yet, I must say in your defence….it's nothing to be ashamed of Ed, after all, this is much too advanced for one as yourself and I never expected you to see it anyway, so don't worry, I don't think any less of you than I already didNovember 17, 2012 at 11:47 am#320733Ed JParticipantLet's compare notes then:

Oh Ed,Don't feel defensive, it's not your fault you've been reading all sorts of books giving you all sorts of strange doctrines over your 40 odd years of, um…”study”…instead of just sticking with the source ( the bible alone), i mean anyone would be influenced by so many distractions right? I mean who knows, it might even lead someone to think that they are actually a character out of the bible…oh, um, err forget I said that one okay Ed, lol….Of course that Ed in Joshua is you just like you said!!Gee, hmm, thats a hard one to follow, but its okay! Like I said, its not your fault that the bible wasn't enough…um, er, oh who am I kidding, of course it's your fault Ed old boy!!
Hehe, come on Ed, just giving you a taste of your own medicine….It's all good, you're still the same Ed to me as you always were
Anyway, like to try again?
This time examining it a tad closer?
Hm?November 17, 2012 at 12:15 pm#320736Ed JParticipantHi Devolution,

You: ?November 17, 2012 at 12:16 pm#320738ProclaimerParticipantOh oh, is this the answer. I googled it and found this.
Yes dinosaurs were real. But behemoth and leviathon were not related to the dinosaurs. They are one-of-a-kind supernatural cryptids. God created only one behemoth and one leviathon. They are both male. They were created at the beginning of time and should still be alive today. At the end of time they will be killed for the big feast we will have in Heaven.
Source(s):
I got it from a book called “The Other Bible”. It contains books that weren't canonized.November 17, 2012 at 12:23 pm#320739ProclaimerParticipantWikipedia says this:
Job 40:15-24 describes Behemoth, and then the sea-monster Leviathan, to demonstrate to Job the futility of questioning God, who alone has created these beings and who alone can capture them.[2] Both beasts are chaos monsters destroyed by the deity at the time of creation, although such a conflict is not found in the creation account.[3]
Leviathan is identified figuratively with both the primeval sea (Job 3:8, Psalms 74:13) and in apocalyptic literature – describing the end-time – as that adversary, the Devil, from before creation who will finally be defeated. In the divine speeches in Job, Behemoth and Leviathan may both be seen as composite and mythical creatures with enormous strength, which humans like Job could not hope to control. But both are reduced to the status of divine pets, with rings through their noses and Leviathan on a leash.[4]…………..In Jewish apocrypha and pseudepigrapha such as the 2nd century BCE Book of Enoch, Behemoth is the primal unconquerable monster of the land, as Leviathan is the primal monster of the waters of the sea and Ziz the primordial monster of the sky. In the 2nd century BCE 1 Enoch Leviathan lives in “the Abyss”, while Behemoth the land-monster lives in an invisible desert east of the Garden of Eden (1 Enoch 60:7-8). A Jewish rabbinic legend describes a great battle which will take place between them at the end of time: “…they will interlock with one another and engage in combat, with his horns the Behemoth will gore with strength, the fish [Leviathan] will leap to meet him with his fins, with power. Their Creator will approach them with his mighty sword [and slay them both].” Then, “from the beautiful skin of the Leviathan, God will construct canopies to shelter the righteous, who will eat the meat of the Behemoth and the Leviathan amid great joy and merriment.” (Artscroll siddur, p. 719).
