    Hi KJ,
No you did not understand him.

    Nick,

The question is how did the disciples understand Him. Put yourself in THEIR shoes. You are in THEIR group and Jesus says to YOU ALL that some of YOU will remain alive to see His coming.

    Hi KJ,
Are you not yet alive eternally in the Spirit?
    Time is short.

Jesus told Caiaphas that he would see the Son of Man coming in the clouds. Is Caiaphas alive in the Spirit? I think not.

You are twisting the clear meaning of words. Jesus told His disciples that some of them would remain to see His coming. If He was talking about being alive in the Spirit, then He would not have said that only some would remain.

i think Caiaphas's as seen all, first he sew the son of God ,and Jesus confirm to him that he the Christ.so in this he sew the king,at the resurrection of Christ he as seen and heard of his resurrection as the son of God,his return means in this case the resurrection of Christ.(gone from live to dead and from dead to live is return)

    Hi Terraricca,

Yes Terraricca, Caiaphas indeed saw Jesus sitting at the right hand of God coming in the clouds
of Heaven, which were the followers of Jesus' disciples beginning at Pentecost. (Heb.12:1-2)

    Hi JA,
Why is presenting the parlous situation of mankind threatening?
It is the vanity of men that prevents their seeing the need for salvation.

    Hi Nick,

Luke 17:21: έντός ěntŏs: inside, within.

Luke 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not,
neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. (John 14:23)

John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words:
and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

But he was not abiding in his audience[the pharisees] at the time.
He was still among them as flesh and his Spirit had not been yet given.

    ED J,

We do agree on something. Jesus clearly told Caiaphas that he would see the Son of Man both sitting on the right hand AND coming in the clouds of heaven.

Our difference is that you say that Jesus returned on Pentecost when Jesus said the destruction of Jerusalem was the sign that preceded His coming. Jerusalem was destroyed in ad70. Ergo, He returned in ad70.

    Hi Jack,

    Why, thank you!

There is a problem with your 70 A.D. theory though,
were the legions of angels Roman soldiers sent from God?
Matt. 26:53: Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father,
and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?

    God bless
