    KJ,

I'm not disagreeing with anyone. I said 'no' but i might be wrong so i am asking for explanation of what happened exactly.

I only know sketchy stuff. So i'm looking for the experts and scholars to do their part.

Now is your chance to impress me and get on my good side. I might even let you say we agree about 'begotten'.

    No,
    Jesus didn't return in 70AD.

It was a notable moment Scripturally.

The Temple is an important building which follows in the line of the Arc of the Covenant.

We have kids program over here that goes through 'real history not as taught in School. Wart, literally, and all' and it goes through the history of the Roman Emperors and Empire and the positives and narsties that they did, no holes barred. The Romans were truly 'the Abomination Nation'.

Yes Jesus did return in ad70! He told His disciples that some of them would remain alive to see His coming:

    Matthew 16:28:

28 “Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.”

Jesus said, “TRULY.” So if He did not return while some of His disciples were still alive, then He was not speaking “TRULY.”

wrong ,Jesus was talking about John who sew him in his kingdom in heaven in the spirit.

70ad did not show any kingdom of any kind, but the description John gives is in deed a description of the glory of the son of God in is kingdom.

    What!

Jesus was addressing His disciples collectively saying that some of “THOSE” (plural) would remain alive to see His coming. Did you cook up your explanation all by yourself?

And what about Caiaphas the High Priest? Jesus told him also that he would see the coming of the Son of Man:

62 And the high priest arose and said to Him, “Do You answer nothing? What is it these men testify against You?” 63 But Jesus kept silent. And the high priest answered and said to Him, “I put You under oath by the living God: Tell us if You are the Christ, the Son of God!”
64 Jesus said to him, “It is as you said. Nevertheless, I say to you, hereafter YOU WILL SEE the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven.” Matt. 26:64

Jesus said to Caiaphas YOU WILL SEE” the Son of Man “COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN.”

Your assertion that he did not set up a kingdom of any kind is a gross error. He said that His kingdom “is not from here.” He said that it is “within you.”

Stephen did not see Christ return. He only saw Him at the right hand. Jesus told Caiaphas that he would see both the right hand and His coming in the clouds.

    Is Caiaphas?

No! So Christ would have had to come in Caiaphas's lifetime for Caiaphas to see it.

    Thank you Nick!

    SF,

KJ could be right but his 'evidence' is suspect at the moment.

Ask him to detail what the events were and the Scriptural proof or any evidential intelligence.

Jesus' words alone are good enough for me. He said that some of His disciples would remain alive to His coming. He said, “TRULY I say to you, that there be some standing here which shall not taste of death til they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom” (Matt. 16:28).

There are only 4 ways to look at Jesus' words above:

    (1) Jesus was confused about future events.
    (2) Jesus deliberately misled those He spoke to.
    (3) Jesus lied to those He spoke to.
    (4) Jesus told the truth and many in the church today are guilty of believing something about the Scriptures that is not true; namely, that He has not yet returned and set up His kingdom.

Jesus said that He was speaking “TRUTHFULLY.” That's all the “evidence” I need.

    KJ,

IM ASKING FOR DETAILS. TELL ME EXACTLY WHAT HAPPEN. your not making sense!!!!

    what the heck.

what happen, did Jesus come in a white horse, and with a long robe, and came to chilll with people, and than tell them to check out his crib or what!!

I gave you my explanation in an earlier post today. here it is again,

“Jesus said that the destruction of Jerusalem was the sign of His imminent coming. Jerusalem was destroyed in ad70.”

You can read the details for yourself in Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21 and Josephus.

The prophet Jesus and the historian Josephus have explained the details better than I could.
