Hi Nick,
You are right that it is easier to relate to Jesus and follow Him and obey Him, that is one reason that the Father sent the Son who willingly went, to help us to relate to Him since He became flesh like us. He is the head of the church, the church gathers…find one. It will do you good!
June 20, 2018 at 4:52 pm#831238LightenupParticipantNick,
Do you serve the Father, do you also serve the Son? Unless they are together as ONE God, then you are serving two masters.
June 20, 2018 at 4:54 pm#831239NickHassanParticipantHi LU,
Jesus began his life when he was conceived in Mary.
You have got mixed up with the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of the Son, the Word.
June 20, 2018 at 4:59 pm#831240NickHassanParticipantHi LU,
Would you try to divide the Son from the Father?
What God has joined together let no man put asunder.
June 20, 2018 at 5:02 pm#831241NickHassanParticipantHi LU,
The Body of Christ is one.
But you would offer options?
Do you follow Apollos or Peter or Paul?
June 20, 2018 at 5:09 pm#831242NickHassanParticipantHi Jodi,
And the fruit you see from the false church is what?
June 20, 2018 at 5:34 pm#831245LightenupParticipantAre you addressing that to me, Nick? If so, a false church would produce bad fruit.
Find a good church, one that produces good fruit: love, joy, patience, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, handling accurately the Word of God, providing water baptism, serving communion, equipping the saints, reaching the lost, worshiping the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, exercising church discipline when necessary, protecting the unity in truth, etc.
June 20, 2018 at 5:42 pm#831246NickHassanParticipantHi LU,
And the church should worship the one God of Israel
and serve Him in his Son?

Right before their very eyes! They also have more than “One Saviour”, yet the scriptures tell us we have “Only One Savior Jesus Christ”, who is not our Saviour by proxy!
“To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.” Jude 1:25
Now, Jude must of been mistaken right? Well he uses the words “Only and Our Savour”. So if this scripture is referring to the Father then Jude contradicts other scripture like this one…
“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the “great God and our Saviour” Jesus Christ;” Titus 2:13
Titus proclaims Jesus here as the Saviour apparently contradicting Jude who says “God is the only Saviour”. The only way you can reconcile this is reject one of the scriptures unless you see them as “One God and One Saviour”. One of many conundrums they have.

June 20, 2018 at 6:23 pm#831249NickHassanParticipantHi WJ,
Same old merry-go-round.
You too try to divide God from His Son.
If you knew the Spirit you would know them in the Spirit.
June 20, 2018 at 6:26 pm#831250Worshipping JesusParticipantSame ole Nick…. no answer
June 20, 2018 at 6:30 pm#831251Worshipping JesusParticipantWhy does it put part of my quote in Kathi’s?
June 20, 2018 at 7:32 pm#831252NickHassanParticipantHiWJ,
Were you not listening when the Spirit said through Jesus Christ?
“If you had known me, you would have known my Father also..”
“Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in me? “
” that they may all be one, even as You Father, are in me and I in You
that they may be in us, so that the world may believe that You sent me”
June 20, 2018 at 10:31 pm#831256Dig4truthParticipantLU: “I’m not sure because you weren’t specific but I assume you see your call to love Jesus as you love the Lord your God. Please correct me if I’m wrong.”
Yes. I share the sentiment of Thomas.
John 20:27-29 Then He *said to Thomas, “Reach here with your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand and put it into My side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing.” 28 Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Jesus *said to him, “Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.”
June 21, 2018 at 1:56 am#831266GeneBalthropParticipantHi WJ, are you back? Good to hear from you again, have you changed your views yet? ☺ , or are you still on shaky ground?
Peace and love to you and yours. ……gene
June 21, 2018 at 6:58 am#831273NickHassanParticipantHi Dig4,
Good.
You would learn with Thomas?
Then sit with him as the Holy Spirit explains in Jn 14 the spiritual relationship between the Father and the Son.
’When you see me you see the Father’
Thomas learned.the lesson well.
‘My Lord AND my God’
June 21, 2018 at 7:45 am#831276LightenupParticipantHi WJ,
you asked:
Why does it put part of my quote in Kathi’s?
It is probably because you did not click on the “ mark on the toolbar above. When finished quoting someone, click on the “ mark which would change it from quote to non-quote.
That should help. There are some nuances with the quoting process than there were way back when. You’ll get the hang of it 🙂
June 21, 2018 at 7:46 am#831277LightenupParticipantGood Dig4truth,
Claiming Jesus as your Lord and God would definitely place your love in the first commandment category! Thanks for your response here.
Blessings,
LU
June 21, 2018 at 7:50 am#831278LightenupParticipantSo Nick,
Since you said this “You too try to divide God from His Son,” does that mean you love the Son according to the first commandment? Please clarify. I thought you would love the Son as yourself, as a neighbor in the second commandment since to you He is just a man.
June 24, 2018 at 3:33 am#831381mikeboll64BlockedKathi, I cannot quantify my love for God versus my love for Jesus. One is my Father who gave my life to me, and the other is my brother who laid down his own life for mine.
But where do you place God’s other faithful servants like Michael and Gabriel in your two-choice scenario? Are they God, or neighbor? Where do you place your own children as compared to a person who molests and then sacrifices an innocent child to his god Satan? They are both your neighbors, right?
