Jn 4.16
He said to her ‘ Go, call your husband and come here’
The woman answered and said ‘ I have no husband’
Jesus said to her ‘ you have well said “I have no husband”
For you have had five husbands and the one you now have is not your husband;
This you have said truly’
The woman said to him,
‘Sir , I perceive that you are a prophet’

Jesus had not heard local gossip or read the local newspaper to know this.

Jesus was given this information by the Spirit living in him just as we can be taught who follow him.
1 Cor 12.8
‘For to one in given the word of wisdom though the Spirit, and to another THE WORD OF KNOWLEDGE,according to the same Spirit.

You must realise that the words and actions of the anointed one were those of the Spirit within and we can follow him.
He had to be like us to show the power of God to men.
