Nick, Jesus is a man who has a human spirit, it is his mind his character, it represents who he is. His body is animated, his actions come forth, the words that he speaks all come through his spirit. God anointed Jesus, that does not just mean his body, but his spirit which is part of his body, as said it is the part that animates the body, it is the part that makes a person unique in character and personality, it’s the part that can invent, devise, plan, think, reason, judge, understand, contemplate, where our ability to have faith and hope comes from. God gave Jesus’s spirit His knowledge, His understanding, His Wisdom, His powers, through that He spoke God’s words and performed God’s deeds. God’s Spirit was working in Jesus’s spirit.

11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

The spirit of man is in him and it is to receive the Spirit of God as God pleases to give it. The carnal mind is the spirit of man that is in him, a mind that has received Wisdom, Understanding, Knowledge, and lives by those gifts has become spiritually minded.
